A small accomplishment
On the twenty eleven theme I am using, I wanted to reduce the space between the top of the page & the content on my site. I figured out a way to embed the title into my header picture, and not display the Title Line. This makes the header picture and content appear as soon as the site is opened.
I opened my saved picture from MY PICTURES in PAINT, then added text to the inside of the picture, edited the appearance and saved it under a new file name into MY PICTURES.
After that, I uploaded the picture file into the HEADER editing portion of the twenty eleven theme, then changed it to be my header.
Doesn't sound like much, but I did not like how I was having to scroll down to get to the content. My opinion is that when someone visits a site, content should be immediately seen.

Congratulations Freddie! I had a similar situation before and the difference of my version of the story is I like having that big picture in my header, lol!
And Kyle had a look at it and he told me it's going to hurt my site navigation and if Google does a manual review (for SEO) on my website, I will be hurt as a result of poor user experience.
So what you did is great for your site and will avoid the things that I have mentioned. Just shared my experience with you with regards to this topic.
