Getting Started. Then Getting Started Again.

I'm really new at all of this, therefore I find myself confused about what I'm learning in the lessons. In most cases I go to the classroom of the topic I'm having trouble with and there's where I find the answer, if I don't find it there I ask.

Being new and eager to get a website up and running I'm working hard on content and spending time trying different things for the design. As I go forward I come across things that I think I know how to do or want to do things I'm not sure of, but I forge ahead. Today with my website open I decided to go back to the Get Started lessons, read them and play all the videos again, checking all the steps one by one with what I had done. I found out that I had made some mistakes and a few of the things that I thought I had set up properly were indeed incorrect or not working at all. For example I had the links to the WA free sign up page set up without my personal tag...big oops! I also didn't have my email routed properly, I sent an email from my gmail account to test it and it came back undeliverable.

As simple as Kyle makes the training, it still confounds a newbie like me from time to time, add in my general lack of knowledge of all the programs I use... (I usually go through the basic set up and leave it at that), I'm really just beginning to see the awesome potential of the tools that have been designed for our use and ultimately our success as we enter into the Internet Marketing world.

If your a newbie like me, you might want to try what I did today. It didn't take all that long since I was just checking what I had done against the direction given in the lessons. The errors were easy to correct because the initial set up was done and my level of comprehension of the programs I'm using has skyrocketed from when I started.

It worked for me. I now know my way around a lot better and feel a lot more confident to move on to the next step.
