The I’s Have It, And Here’s Why
A well, educated person once told me:
“All you ever talk about is I, I, I. It’s all about you. That’s self-centered. It’s not respected.”
At first, I paused.
Was I being self centered? Was I only thinking about myself?
But then I sat with it. I asked myself, Why do I say ‘I’ so much?
And I realized, it’s because I take ownership.
Saying I isn’t about being self absorbed. It’s about accountability.
It’s about standing firm in my decisions, my actions, and my direction.
It’s about knowing where I’m going, and owning every step.
Because here’s the truth:
Most people avoid saying I.
They say we, maybe, or someone should… because it’s easier.
It keeps them from taking responsibility.
But I?
I means action.
I means growth.
I means taking charge of what’s mine.
If that makes people uncomfortable, so be it.
If it’s not respected, I can live with that.
Because I respect it.
And at the end of the day, that’s what matters.
The I’s Have It.
Not because I want attention.
Not because I think I’m above anyone else.
But because I choose to own my life.
And that’s something I’ll never apologize for.
So tell me, are you owning your I?
