A Virtual Website

After reading about Domain names, web page names and whether they can or cannot be named differently, the suggestion about possibly using one of the numerous websites that Premium members have the option of creating... as a practice site, I could not help but wonder how to avoid the expense involved. What a pity it is to have to discard a paid for name that one has taken a lot of time and effort to come up with.

Is there such a thing as a "virtual" website to practice on, get it right, then apply the finely tuned components to the real deal? Just a thought...Kind of reminds me of the virtual training pilots go through as part of the training process. Something for the tech gurus to consider... perhaps?

When I was first on WA which is not that long I practiced on one and if it did not turn out just deleted it but I did not transfer it over to my own domain name till I felt I was on the right track

You do not have to pay for a domain name or a site if you are a premium member. If you are not premium you have the same privilege, but are limited to 2 domains. So it is kind of like the pilots get to experience.
You pay for a domain name on the open market to be sure it will not be purchased by someone else. You can also pay for outside hosting, so that your domain name does not end with siterubix. In the beginning this is really unnecessary.
