Trip Down Memory Lane

Thursday evening, I sat down at my desk with my second plate of spaghetti thinking where should I go from here. I have just started Lesson 7 of level 4- Mastering Social Engagement.

For bloggers who despair that an article might not start smoothly or when the words don’t flow, I thought it might be helpful to relate the journey of my online business progress with my first trip to Savannah with my youngest son Cortez, which was about a weekend stay in the Savannah Hotel on Abercorn.

It all looks very familiar as if I had been to Savannah before but took a different route. For Cortez, it was his first time, so I acted as if it was my first time too. After a 4-hour drive, we were hungry. We ended up at the Savannah Mall food court. We browsed the mall and when we did not see any major stores that we wanted to visit, we were routed to another mall that was approximately 15- 20 minutes away.

What I have learned thus far was that it was not all that exciting to pretend. It would have been better to avoid the familiarizes (scenic route) of this trip and skip right to the fun part. Cortez wouldn't have known any difference.

This part of the trip reminds me of when I was building my website. I already had a website - www.adyircleaningsolutions.com. So, everything was familiar. I had done it before. Therefore, it would have been more beneficial for me move adyircleaningsolutions.com to WA instead of building a new website. I am still perfecting the website as I learn to navigate the new platform.

Any who, Cortez and I proceeded to enjoy our weekend getaway. We spent our last day at the Star Castle Family Entertainment Center where they are known for having the best roller-skating rink. Whether you're a kid or just a kid at heart, you'll love gliding across their 10,000 sq ft maple skating floor. Their state-of-the-art audio and lighting system makes it great for hosting parties. We played video games and Laser tag until it was time for us to head back to Atlanta. Mother and son weekend getaway was a success.

Speaking of successes, I am proud to say that I have written 34 articles, and out of the 34 articles, 21 of them have been indexed by Google. I am an advocate for using proper grammar. I believe it is one of the key points to getting your articles indexed - being clear and concise. Writing is one of those passions I have let slip away due to the demands of work life. I am glad that we have reconnected because it also serves as one of my ways to unwind and relax.

My son and I are planning our next getaway for next month in Orlando, Florida at the Westgate Palace Resort where we plan on visiting some theme parks, fishing, and water skiing.

As for my plans for my online marketing business in the upcoming 3 months, I hope to have at least 60 or more articles written and earn revenue. In the upcoming 6 months, my plans are to have this portion of my business outsourced and I will occasionally be writing articles in my free time. I am currently working on expanding my cleaning service in Atlanta which will require much of my attention. Not to mention, I have my real estate course to complete.

It will be a challenge of course with the everyday distractions of going through emails and notes and poring through the pictures I had taken, then suddenly thinking about dishes that need cleaning, laundry that need washing, shopping that need doing, emails that needed answering. Even dusting! But if we didn't have all these wonderful things to think about, life would be pretty boring.

I am eagerly waiting with anticipation to see the manifestation of my business plans. Because the end goal is to be able to enjoy transferring photos I have taken from my phone to my laptop. Looking through brochures, menus, and emails I’d written during that week without hast but as a leisure.
