Living on the third floor has several advantages such as great views, less noise, and no worries about flooding. Nevertheless, I have learned that choosing a third-floor apartment, some considerations must be taken into account.

My third-floor apartment was nice. I had the view of the lake with the jumping fish from my balcony. I had the ability to enjoy the outdoors, relax, and get some fresh air with my plants and most importantly, I wasn't underneath anyone.

Although I enjoyed those small pleasures, I didn't take into account that I would probably get tired of climbing those three flights of stairs several times a day.

The logistics of moving into a third-floor apartment can be a little more complicated than living on the first level. However, I did consider the furniture when moving to the third floor. I moved in a bed, a TV, sectional sofa, and a 3-piece dinette set. Appliances were already in the apartment. A fully furnished apartment would have been more ideal and easier for moving.

It was the climbing of the stairs that got to me. After a long day of working, I would sit in my car for 30 minutes to an hour because I dread walking up three flights of stairs. The daily exercise you can get from climbing three flights of stairs is great, but it gets old fast, especially if you have a labor-intensive business. Carrying groceries, laundry, and things for work all became undesirable chores.

So, what did I learn from this challenge of living on the third floor? I have faced many challenges but having to come through them has made me stronger than before.

We are not the first that will be facing challenges in life and won't be the last, the richest people in the world have also had to face their own challenges but what made them a successful people today is their ability to never give up, they manage to turn their challenges into opportunity for their growth.
