There is not a lesson I can see on the theme setup making it ready for sending out? I have reviewed 2 sites and they are quite good but I am a ways from where they are so I che

You'll learn all about the aesthetics and visuals of the site later in the training. Don't get ahead of yourself :) Your focus early on should be on content, and that's why the training is set up as it is. Trust the system! It works!

Not sure if my reply went through as I do not see it so I will try again.
Thank you for your message regarding the theme.

Absolutely!

Hi - there are lots of things you can change, but writing content is the most important aspect of your site to start with. It will be several months before you get visitors, so right now, just focus on writing and "prettify" it later.

When it comes to WP themes each one is unique but with some similarities.

You can do a browser search and see and demo and use Youtube for how to's.

Your Theme name + demo

You can learn a lot also by going to WP backoffice -> appearance -> customizer and trying settings.

I will look into Youtube and the WP back office as you suggest.
Thank you

You are welcome.

All themes are blank canvas in the beginning.

As soon as you start adding content, things will change. Sites develop over time.

Thanks, AbieAJ, but is there a way to see the theme and what is there so far? As you said it is a blank screen but at what point can I see what is there and what is needed? Hope I have explained it well enough.

Yes you can look up themes in the WordPress directory

https://wordpress.org/themes/

As you go through the classes, ticking checklists bottom of lessons, tasks and activities asked of you to complete in order to set up properly and guide you through the process.

Little by little you will make your about me, privacy policy, in level 3 you will learn about programs, and get your disclosure on site.

A month down the line, you could have a dozen or so posts.

Thanks again AbieAJ

You're very welcome!
