Yay yes it is! I heard Matt Cutts, who is with Google working in the SEO's department, speaking about the future of the Internet, and he said that it is all going towards mobile devises, ie smart phones and tablets, and away from desktops. Therefore we must all make sure our websites are mobile user friendly.
I use my iPad 90% of the time and already I find it incredible and frustrating that some prominent businesses still do not allow me to purchase online from my iPad.
