Like the Royal baby boy my very first website is here. Please give me your opinion and any suggestions to make it better. I would like you to leave your reviews too. This is still work in progress and I did not want to delay it any more. . i will be updating as the days pass by. The link is http://disabledlaidoff.siterubix.com .

At the same time I am working on My second site that is www.travelindiaadvisor.com. Since I will be signing up for jet pack plug in, you can see it for an hour or so. There is a lot of work to do on this page. Since I have been there, there is a lot to write....... Ferns5.com is a blog that is for the future.

In one of Kyle's tutorial (I think) he said to leave a review in three websites of WA members. If you want me and other members to visit your website and leave a review please drop it here and you will have lot more reviews than three..........

I really like the way you have your site setup. I am here at WA because of a injury at work keep up the good work

Thanks a lot....cassiejr53

Wow! I think you are in a great niche'. You should do very well with this audience. Your site has a lot of promise. The first thing I noticed from reviewing your site is that English is not your first language. If your primary audience will be English speaking people, you may want to concentrate more on some of the grammatical errors and such. Sometimes, grammar can take the lead as a trust factor. Again, I think the concept is great and the layout clean. Concentrate on some editing and you should be good to go.

English is not my first language and trying to get someone to go through the content....let me see what I can do....

I think you're getting some great feedback here.

I will agree with choppydo that you should add the ? marks for both Disabled? Laid Off? as you seem to be asking questions on those. I mentioned before that the home page can be a concierge of sorts. You don't have to go that direction but you may want to add more content and then have the home page point to those with a short summary for each on the home page.

One part of the training that Kyle shows is to funnel the sales through one central page and keep it off of others. So if you want you can create a review of Wealthy Affiliate page and then have all your other pages point to that after writing your content, that could be one way to go. This is covered in the Affiliate Bootcamp which is dedicated to us WA'ers that want to promote Wealthy Affiliate which your site seems to be doing.

You can choose not to go this route too. I think you can make what you have work when you add good content and be consistent about it. Just always ask yourself what you'd want to see in a site such as yours. If there are other sites that are related critique theirs for some idea for yours.

Thanks again.....the ??????....all these days I didn't see it....thanks....cheers

Your website is looks great but you could probably use something more cheery?

Being disabled is not a cheery situation. A few positives would be great

Very well done! I like how you have used your disability to the positive, and how You don't get all negative on yourself with the issue. And that you rather focus on how to become successful! I thnk it's a great site, I'll let the real experienced pro's help you with the "details" and making it better, but on the most part, You got a great head start!

Eric

Hey. Your sites look good. I am mostly interested in your travel india site. My main site is also in the travel niche and is focused on first time international travelers. I've been trying to find other people on WA that are also in the travel niche to see if we could somehow work together to promote each other's sites. I don't know exactly what that would look like but if you are interested let me know! My site is internationaltravelmadeeasy.com

Hello Dustin........your site looks great.......what is in your mine......cheers

Well...there are A LOT of ideas in my head...lol. So I'll just make a list.

1. The simplest would be to just share each other's sites on our respective social media networks. So if you post an article I will post it on my facebook, twitter, etc. and vice versa.

2. Another idea would be to be familiar with each other's content so that we could incorporate links to each other's websites in our own content. For example, I like to mention places in my content and link that place to a wikipedia page about it. Maybe if I were to mention someplace in India I could link it to a post on your site about that place instead. And if you were telling people great places to buy souvenirs you could have a link in that post to my article about How to Barter effectively.

3. I have also been thinking about creating a "Partner Sites" page in which I provide a link and a brief overview of quality sites I feel would be beneficial to my visitors. Since I am not really focusing on travel destinations in my content that is an area I would like to be able to send people to other sites to find. And of course, I would expect my partner sites to return the favor by providing a link or two to my site and recommending their viewers to check out my site.

4. I really don't know how this idea would work or if it is even possible. But somehow featuring content on each other's site. So, for example, if you write a really great post I could feature it on my site and vice versa. I don't know the logistics of that but it might be cool. Like how some really popular websites like buzzfeed.com have their own content and then also feature great content from other websites.

5. Guest posting. Again, I don't know how this would work or how beneficial it would be. But the idea of working together to create quality content for each other's sites. So since I have never been to India I would not be able to tell anybody anything that useful to them regarding India. Instead I could be like this weeks feature destination is India and ferns4733 from travelindiaadvisor.com has graciously agreed to give us his insight into the food scene in Mumbai. And, obviously, it would be a trade and I would do the same for you.

Hopefully those all made sense. I just think that since we are all in the same broad niche of travel and tourism working together with as many sites in the same travel niche as possible would be super beneficial. It would allow us to generate legitimate and relevant backlinks as well as potentially creating more rich and enjoyable content for our own sites.

Let me know what you think and sorry for the short novel. :)

I know they are great ideas....but I don't see many sites ....if we know the other person's site we can always as you sais tweet or comment on it.....

It makes bad grammatical sense is the first thing I noticed. After disabled and laid off it would make sense to put a question mark.

I see that your main page leads directly into your about me page. Personally, I wouldn`t make this the only option because people have short attention spans these days.

On the plus side, your content covers a nice spectrum and your ads are nice, although you might want to put them in a more visible place but I`m going to go ahead and guess that they are there because of your theme choice.

Thanks choppydo for the suggessions.....cheers

I totally agree with techhound. I really like the http://disabledlaidoff.siterubix.com/ and the videos are a nice to watch. The theme of the site is easy to manipulate and you don't get lost.

As far as JetPack plugin. I am still testing it on my site and debating on if I am going to keep it. The only part of that plugin that I am really using at this point is the Contact form and the Stats but I am finding work-arounds so I can eliminate that whole plugin.

Nice job ferns! Keep up the excellent work.

Thanks Dana.....I am using the jetpack is for the slider of the pictures in my travel site.....I am still working on it....if you click the 3rd picture in front page it will lead you to a kind of slider......cheers

Hey Dana, the plugin is trying to do too many things and that is why it causes problems. Just an FYI, if you try to go to your site one day and it is completely blank and you have JetPack installed, there is a really good chance that is what is causing the problems. You'll have to FTP and delete the JetPack plugin manually. I've given up on the thing.

You are scaring me techhound......i was looking for another plug in for photo slider, but it was discontinued so I was forced to use this......cheers

ahhh techhound thanks for the FYI. I really haven't found much other use for the dang thing other than taking up space. I don't use the Social, Gravatar or any of the other fancy stuff it says it has. Really wasted too much time researching the dang thing to be honest.

Hey Rexton, I am pretty sure there are plenty of plug ins available that can handle your slider needs. I just want to make everyone aware that JetPack has been a problem for me. And it was my provider (BlueHost.com) at the time that made me aware of it even though they install it by default. Go Figure! I contacted them about why my site was blank and they attributed it to JetPack. I deleted JetPack manually and everything was good to go after that. I've had that happen to multiple sites of mine. Each time it was JetPack.

ferns here is a link to some plugin sliders for WordPress http://wordpress.org/plugins/tags/image-slider This slider here -->http://wordpress.org/plugins/soliloquy-lite/ I have used on another site of mine and it is great, very easy to use.

Great Job! Keep up the good work! Keep adding good content!

Thakks a lot

Hey Rexton, I like your disabledlaidoff.siterubix.com site. The fact that you didn't include too much information on the home page is great. I am not a fan of bloated home pages. But that is just me. The home page should act as a concierge for other pages/posts, etc. I don't always adhere to that but strive for it.

As for your travel site, I have had way too many problems with the JetPack plugin where it actually blanks out my sites that use them until I delete the plugin.

Thanks techhound.....cheers
