How My 22 Blog Posts Got Indexed on Google: A Humble Journey
Wow! I’m excited (and honestly, a little amazed) to share that all 22 of my blog posts have been indexed by Google! This feels like a small yet significant milestone in my blogging journey, and I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the process, what I’ve learned, and how it’s all come together so far.
First of all, I have to admit – I’m not some SEO guru or a professional marketer. I’m just someone who loves writing and sharing ideas with others. So, seeing my posts show up on Google has been a big “wow” moment for me. But it didn’t happen overnight. There was definitely some trial and error involved.
Keeping It Real: Quality Over Quantity
I always focused on writing content that felt meaningful and helpful. Sure, there’s a lot of talk about keywords and optimizing for search engines, and while that’s important, I tried not to let it take over my writing. Instead, I asked myself, “Is this something people would actually want to read and find useful?” I think Google picked up on that intention.
Consistency Is Key
Another thing that helped (I think) was consistency. Posting regularly, even when it felt like no one was reading, helped keep my blog active. Google seems to appreciate consistency, and while I didn’t post every day, I made sure to show up with fresh content regularly. It’s like planting seeds – you never know which ones will sprout, but you keep planting anyway.
Learning the Basics of SEO (But Not Getting Lost in It)
When I first started, SEO sounded super complicated. But over time, I learned the basics: using relevant titles, adding descriptive meta descriptions, and making sure my site was easy to navigate. Nothing fancy – just the simple stuff that makes it easier for Google to understand what my posts are about. I didn’t let myself get too bogged down in the technical side of things, and that kept the process manageable.
The Role of Patience
One of the biggest lessons? Patience. I’d check Google to see if my posts were indexed, and for a while, nothing would show up. It was tempting to think, “Maybe my content isn’t good enough.” But I stuck with it. Over time, things started to click. Slowly but surely, Google noticed my content, and one by one, my posts got indexed.
Staying Grateful and Humble
At the end of the day, seeing my blog posts indexed by Google isn’t about chasing traffic or trying to “beat the algorithm.” It’s more of a quiet acknowledgment that the effort I’ve put in is starting to pay off in small ways. And that feels good. It’s humbling, really. There are millions of blogs out there, and the fact that Google has indexed mine is something I don’t take for granted.
What’s Next?
I’m looking forward to continuing this journey, writing more posts, and (hopefully) reaching more people. But no matter what happens, I’ll keep the same mindset: write from the heart, keep learning, and stay patient.
Thank You WA for being part of this adventure with me – here’s to whatever comes next!
If you’re just starting your own blog, don’t get discouraged. Keep writing, keep learning, and trust the process. You never know when your content might start showing up on Google, too!
