Set your Search Console Messages Forwarded to Your Email Address
Hello WA friends,
Have you set up your Google Search Console properly?
Many of us have already Google Search Console account. In view of the recent warnings about sites being hacked or sites infected with malware and recently warning site owners to be vigilant of emails announcing unauthorized verifications of Google Search Console accounts for their site, I want to walk you through a process that I think many of us have not done with our Search Console account.
As you noticed in your Search Console account, there is a Message Center containing messages from Google regarding any activities we've done with our sites. Also, if Google detects that your site has been compromised, they'll tell you about it on Search Console Message Center.
But how do we know that something unusual happened with our site without checking our Search Console account?
We must set these messages from Message Center to be forwarded to any email address associated with our Google account.
Here are the steps:
1. On the Search Console home page, click the gear icon.
2. Click Search Console Preferences.
3. In the Forward Messages, you can change the language you receive. On the type, you can select " Top issues " or " All issues ". Then select the email address you want to use and click save.
If the hacker inserted malware into your site, Search Console identify your site as infected in the search results to protect other users.
I hope this helps some members of the community. Thank you for reading.
Ferdie

So, if the hacker has already inserted malware into our site, we just have to clean up our computer, is it Ferdie? Thank you.
