What A Wonderful Day!
Even though I have the desire to have my own business and by my own boss, I do have to say I love my full time job at the moment. I am a veteran employment rep for the state of PA. I am a veteran myself and I have always felt that we do not do enough for our veterans.
When he was discharged from the Army, it was because he had intestinal cancer. They gave him 6 months to live. But through extensive treatment and surgery, he is still here with us 15 years later.
He drove truck over the road for these past 15 years, but because of injuries he sustained while serving in the Army, his knees can't take getting in and out of the truck and sitting for long periods of time.So then he proceeds to show me all the things he has been thinking about and had written down and brought to show me. As he was reading off the list of things, he mentioned about hobbies. My ears perked up instantly.
Opportunity To Talk about WASo my next words were, "Hobbies? Tell me about your hobbies!" I bet you know where this conversation is going, right? Well it turns out he loves to do woodworking. Perfect! I proceeded to tell him about how I got started with my online business.
He was interested and says "It's funny you mention this as I was just reading a book written about starting an online business". Coincidence? I think not!
It was so fun talking to this fellow veteran. I got even more excited when I got to thinking that with him being a woodworker, he can make frames. I have thought about getting a bit more into the framing side of things with my cross stitch business. He was open to that idea!
So it was a pretty exciting day and I have just sent off an email as I promised I would with the links to check out WA. It is so much easier to be able to tell someone about WA face to face and not have the skepticism. He could tell it's real and how excited I was and the fact that this has already been a thought in his head, I think I may have found my first serious referral. Guess time will tell!
I just want to end this by saying....
to everyone here at WA for all your inspiration and support. I feel so blessed to have found such a great community!
Best Wishes

Awesome post Fae! Sounds like a wonderful day and thats cool how things just fell into place. You made a new friend and perhaps a referral too. And you got to help a veteran all at the same time.
Excellent post, Fae, it is amazing how folks cross our paths and like you say sometimes it is meant to be. Thank you for your insights, and all the best wishes as you share WA. really enjoyed reading this post.
That is wonderful Fae! I realized I told you my Facebook link was below my profile but it isn't! Sorry! I thought it was. That shows how often I use Facebook now! I am on WA all the time!
I always talk to my husband about sharing WA with veterans! I also plan to share our experiences with natural mineral supplements to help veterans with PTSD when I get my nutrient site built out more fully.
First of all, I want to thank you for your service. Like you, its a privilege to work with our Veterans every single day, and that is why like you, I love my job! But I have also grown to love WA and hopefully, like my many years with the VA where I work, I hope to be here too for many many years....

Vets deserve our respect. They sacrifice so much.
