14 days to get to No. 1 ranking in Google for keyword
Just got to say ...
This stuff works!
I had quite a narrow key-phrase for my core site (164 searches - 53 results according to the Keyword Tool). While I wasn't really being to serious about the phrase I chose, it did match the Niche I wanted to focus on and also had a lot of associated keywords that I could leverage.
So what did I do? I followed the instructions:
- Build the framework for an authority site
- Regularly contribute unique content
- Write related articles on Street Articles and link through if appropriate
- Social bookmarking
- And establish authorship on G+
- Number one ranking in Google for the key phrase
- Number four ranking in Google for the broad search (without the quotes "")
- Authorship ownership on those results (my Google+ mugshot beside the result).
But ... wow - I wasn't quite expecting this.
Oh --- just looked again ... and I have the four top spots. LOL ... didn't expect that.
Hmmmm, what do you do with a number 1 ranking? ;-)

I hate to rain on your parade but Google customizes your results based on what you have been searching. It is entirely possible that you are in fact ranking that well but, it is more probable that the Google customization is helping.....Significantly.
To find the actual results- In Chrome go to the bars in the upper right corner and click to open the menu. Locate the Incognito window and open this. Search for your term.
In FireFox- Under the file menu choose New Private Window. Then Search for your term.
These will remove the customization that Google does and give you actual results.
