This stuff works!
I had quite a narrow key-phrase for my core site (164 searches - 53 results according to the Keyword Tool). While I wasn't really being to serious about the phrase I chose, it did match the Niche I wanted to focus on and also had a lot of associated keywords that I could leverage.
So what did I do? I followed the instructions:
But ... wow - I wasn't quite expecting this.
Oh --- just looked again ... and I have the four top spots. LOL ... didn't expect that.
Hmmmm, what do you do with a number 1 ranking? ;-)

So what did I do? I followed the instructions:
- Build the framework for an authority site
- Regularly contribute unique content
- Write related articles on Street Articles and link through if appropriate
- Social bookmarking
- And establish authorship on G+
- Number one ranking in Google for the key phrase
- Number four ranking in Google for the broad search (without the quotes "")
- Authorship ownership on those results (my Google+ mugshot beside the result).
But ... wow - I wasn't quite expecting this.
Oh --- just looked again ... and I have the four top spots. LOL ... didn't expect that.
