My New Year's doubts
Happy New Year to you all!
I have to say that December was soo unproductive month for me. My kids were ill, then I fell ill and then the kids again. I didn't write a single word to my blog for the past month.
Right now I am getting back on track slowly, but there is one thing I am concerned about and that is: As a non-native speaker, will I ever be able to build a blog with quality content written in English? Won't the slightly broken English make it look amateurish? I've started to doubt my initial idea to start a niche site and blog in English. Is there anyone who is not native and is successfully blogging in English? I need some motivation :)
I was thinking that maybe I would be better off starting with a niche site written in my mother tongue. But the audience in my country is very small and so are the monetizing possibilities. On the other hand, there is not much competition, though.
What do you think, guys? Your opinions will be very much appreciated!

Eva,
Just blog in your mother tongue or otherwise.
As long as you are helping people, your words will be accepted.
Just blog.
All the best
Maxine
Hi Eva, there can be challenges, I think writing in general can be something we need to work into.
Even the folks who are native speakers, can struggle.
Just work away and you will surprise yourself.

Thanks so much Alex. I believe only practice can make me write content that I will be confident with.
Best

That is a formula that works very well.
Best wishes for a creative and successful year, Eva.
I believe you will gain follows in both. Your English seems more fluent than many people. The accent is appealing I think, with the different writing style. You're doing great!
Sincerely,
Nurse Becca
You will find over time that your posts will be much better written and have fantastic content. It comes with practice and lots of editing. Just keep doing what you are doing and you will get there.

Hi Eva, keep on doing what you have been doing.
My language is English, so it is easy for me to say,I took a look at the couple of posts you have put on WA and must say I am impressed.
Don't let the doubts get rooted in.
Go back to some of your writings and read some of the comments that your WA friends have said.
This will encourage you.
Think about your baby boy, soon he will start to walk, he is going to fall down and get up, you will encourage him to keep trying, he will fall more than once, before he is steady on his feet. The day will come when he will walk without falling and no one will hold his hand.
For now there are WA friends who can and will encourage you to keep taking baby steps and learn from your failures. Your day will come when you will not fall and won't need someone to hold your hand.
Then you can give another a helping hand.
You can do it girl. Go for it.
Thank you so much, Russel! Your words have warmed my heart...
Your bio is astonishing, what a great accomplishments, wow.
All the best to you!
Eva
I'm not a native English speaker, 5 months in. I made my first few sales, earned a few bucks and traffic is increasing 200% every month.
I had the same doubts after a few weeks, but I just pushed through.
Don't let your doubts stop you. You can always invest your earnings to get your content edited very cheaply.
