First rewards at WA from web club
Well apart from the initial feeling of welcoming from the community and the amount of things to learn which is very satisfaying and overwhelming altogether, today was a really good day. I had my first web club. I had this idea of sharing WA in person and thought I could implement this at schools or places were I could gather with people interested and go through the lessons together and today was the first one of this reunions.
4 people showed up and they liked it pretty much. 1 couldn´t come but will join next time. We scheduled another meeting for next week.
We have a bit of a language barrier and I am acting as the translator. We will probably meet online here and inundate WA with a bit of spanish, hope that doesn´t create some chaos!
This works well here in Mexico because this is a very laid back country, but maybe it can work in other places. I like the live interaction and the group felt good with this idea of learning together.

I'm glad it is working out.
As I have said before, I love this idea and I'm thinking about approaching our high schools to start some type of club as well. But, it won't be for quite some time, I have far to much on my plate right now.
Good luck with this Ema.
Hi Ema, that's a great idea...! Live networking for online education. I live in South America and would like to involve more people here, but language is always a barrier. Maybe we can do something about it, a Spanish WA page? Or at least a Spanish forum...
Thanks for sharing such a good practice.
Can we meet at Skype? I would like to pick your brain a little more on this idea.
Francisco
This is a great idea and I'm glad you shared this I will have to try something like this here. Keep me informed on your results going forward.
Thanks Scott, initially we are going to meet weekly and I´ll extend the places to government employment agencies as well as gvmnt family orientation agencies. Don´t know how else to say this in english :)
Get a Google + account working. There is a platform there called hangouts. You can have interactive chats for up to 10 people and/or broadcast to as many people as you like. The hangouts can even be recorded and placed directly on youtube.
That is a great idea! I've been talking to people at work about WA and they keep saying I have to present something at our next training day. Maybe I'll do a brown bag lunch thing. Thanks for this Ema!

Ema as soon as I read this my mind started going crazy with ideas. lol
What an awesome way to merge your in person community with this virtual community. I think we can all attest to the fact that we have found the only place that is needed for becoming a success online.
Wealthy Affiliate has given us so much and for us to be able to share it online as well as the community around us that is just awesome.
You could also advertise your club meeting on Meetup.com and even have more people join your club.
Like Patty, I'm thinking about taking this to my community, maybe even the colleges and seeing if I can't present Wealthy Affiliate as another tool for learning.
So glad it's working out for you. Please keep me updated on how it goes and if you have any pointers I'm all ears. Thanks so much for sharing!!
Thanks for the suggestion. It´s only the beginning stage but it had a really nice welcome. Small but the people that came already knew what it was about , so there was no dissapointment. We only have a bit of a, hate to say obstacle, a challenge with the language, ´cause I´d love the clubs to meet with the community here. I am sure that the ones that know english will get more involved here. I´ll keep you, and everyone posted.
Hi Ema
It is a really good idea. I was also thinking along the same lines within my neighbourhood and local community. I was just waiting till I am more experienced and have more to offer.
