Human body is complex, the complexity of our body makes it easier for microscopic beings to live a good life without being noticed. Have you ever asked yourself why do we get sick? Who make us sick? I'm sure you have asked yourself these kind of questions. But who is the culprits? The culprits are microorganisms

Where can you find microbes

Microorganisms in short are said to be microbes, there are found every where, on air, soil, water, food we eat, all over our skin and some reside in our noses, mouth, hands, eyes, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectus, anus, urinal system and genitals.

Diversity of microorganisms

Microorganisms are divided into multiple kinds. The most popular ones are bacteria, fungi and viruses. They all cause infections that leads to diseases. Bacterria and fungi are dived into harmful and none harmful (good ones).

Harmful microorganisms

The harmful bacteria are found on things that are secondary to our body or health. For example, those bacteria that are found on the soil, water and air are harmful whenever in contact with our bodies.

We are created sterile until we come into contact with our parents micro flora. Micro flora is the normal microorganism that is found on our genitals, mouth, nose and skin.

A new born is without such bacteria and fungi until it pass through the birth canal. Immediately when it inhale air from outside, it get exposed to air and its microorganisms. That how we all got exposure to microorganisms. When give kissesbto our little ones, we exposing them to new species of normal microorganisms from our mouths. That does not mean they will get sick, infacts new born babies need that kind of exposure so that they develop immunity against the harmful ones in future.

Good microorganisms

Our body carry good microorganisms that protect us from harmful exposure. These good microbes act as our first line defense immune system. All over our skin, we carry good microorganisms, which are mainly good bacteria, inside our noses we carry Staphyloccocus species, inside our mouth we carry Streptococcus species and our genitals (female) carry Candida species.

These microorganisms are not just saints because if by danger, they are exposed or introduced to our blood system or central spinal fluid, they then harm us. In blood, they cause sepsis or septic shock, meaning they poison the blood. If this happens to a new born, death can be pronounced. New borns are very fragile and mostly they do not have strong immune system just like adults. Same goes with very old individuals, there are highly at risk of getting sick because of the immune incompetency. Not leaving aside the chronics and pregnant individuals, who are immune copromised, are also at high risk of easily getting sick. If it happened that our oral pH is disturbed by our daily food rich in sucrose, then we get exposed to our own micro flora and suffer from dental caries. Please note that a detailed article on dental hygiene and all microorganisms involved will be discussed later. Pregnancy and oral conditions, will also be discussed later on other articles.

Viruses are all harmful

Virases are the only microorganisms that are not found in humans as microflora or normal flora. There are acquired from one living beings to another. There the most dangerous and none treatable microscope beings. All diseases that are uncontrollable are caused by viruses and bacteria that are acting like viruses.
