How to Share a Link on Facebook (even Tony Robbins Shares Amazon Links on FB)

Sharing links (including affiliate ones) on Facebook couldn't be easier: it's a straight copy&paste process.

I've heard thousands of times that we shouldn't share affiliate links directly on Facebook. It wouldn't work well.

But...

Do you follow Tony Robbins on Facebook?

I do.

Today I noticed that him - a successful public figure with 3,400,000+ followers - shares Amazon affiliate links on his Facebook page.

As you can see in the image, he uses Amazon's short links (text & image).

If he's doing this, it must work well. Don't you think?

This makes me think about what I had learned before in terms of affiliate links and FB.

What are your thoughts on this?

Have you done this before using affiliate links? Did it work?

If it really does work, I'm in.

I think this works. Please check the blog (Facebook for WA referrals) of Tony Hamilton. I followed it. I got no problem with it. Provided, it is in a FB Page.

I am following Bo's training and he says as long as they are spread out like once per every couple of days then it should be okay just not to over do it and make sure you are doing a lot of other interactions in between

Bo is a wise guy. If he says so, he's probably right.

In fact, that's what Tony does. He posts all sorts of things and he certainly doesn't post affiliate links every day.

Thanks for the comment, Melissa!

I share affiliate links to Facebook, but I created several pages to accommodate my particular affiliate links. They are not on my personal Facebook profile unless someone tags me in a share of the linked post.
I get pretty good traffic from Facebook my Facebook followers and supporters. I'm a fan of Tony Robbins too and @MemorylaneUK Is right money talks. So chances are likely that IF I were to post my Amazon affiliate links on my profile, that Facebook may remove them too?

So, do you think then that the point here is whether one shares affiliate links on a Personal account OR on a Page (like you and Tony do)?

1

I think it would be good practice to share affiliate links on a page specifically. You can link your pages to your main profile if you want or you can keep them separate.

Awesome! Thanks for the tip.

You're welcome! :)

I had affiliate links removed by Facebook . I guess if you have rhe influence of Tony Robbins and you spend enough on Ads then they just let it go. I guess he spends a lot on Ads so they wouldn’t penalise him.
I’m a big fan of Tony Robbins so I don’t care but money talks is the phrase that comes to mind.
With Grace and Gratitude
