Can a two month old site rank?
Hi everybody,
I would just like to share some progess. If you are new here and and not yet comepletely sold on the WA theory and tactics... look at this. yes it is not ranking much on Google but it is a great start and Google rankings will follow shortly.
My site is two months old today and its rankings just started booming the past couple of days. Up until now, I would watch new posts rank and then fall off the scale but this week appears to be the magic week.
Some people seem to pick up this online stuff pretty quick.. this was not the case for me. I have made several mistakes and this is my second year and third run at building a site. I know this is going to be the one that makes it.
So far I have 32 posts published and recently upped my publishing scedule from 4 days per week to 7 days per week. I have another 20 scheduled to post. I am yet to monitize my site but am holding off untill I am certain I have 75-100k words. So far I think I have about 50k but will likely wait till 100k as that is when Google really starts to recognise you.
Also... I have only published two reviews. Not sure if this is a contributing factor or not.

Well done & congrats. Just curious do you write your own content or outsource then edit?
How many words per post? It's the format the same in the training?
Also do you use all H2s for subheadings or H2s H3s etc?

Hi Dave, I do a mixture of content creation methods. In my first year, I hired a lot of cheap content writers on fiver and was adding new content to my site daily unedited but most of it never ranked. Some of the content was also completely original but poor quality and a low word count.
This year I started over, revamped my keyword strategy, and edited each individual post. I have about 200 posts and am slowly working through them each day updating one or two posts per day (and some days none at all). Each post now is between 1000-3000 words. Most are about 1200-2000.
Also, sometimes I will stumble across a good keyword or feel the need to split a post into two so I end up writing a new post.
I am not hiring any more as I have lots already and most from hired writers. Just editing what they wrote. Sometimes I find a post online that has a paragraph I really like so I rewrite it in my own words.
My first sentence in my post includes my keyword and is H2. All other headings an H3. I use ThriveThemes to set heading templates which I use on every post. These look really nice too.

Great info thank you. I use Fiverr writers for press releases. It is very important to always edit what they write so it's readable. Sometimes I end up adding more info too. It's a great way to start. Writing a 1000 word article takes me 3 or 4 hours. I'll hire from now on too and edit.

No that I am aware of, but I haven't really looked into this properly. I have had one or two comments that I was unable to find the person in the WA comment thread. But this doesn't mean they were organic.

I made it myself. The links you see are mostly not affiliate links but internal and external links. I do have a few affiliate links but right now I am focussing on the base content of the site. I will monitze later.
