6 Crazy Weeks
Hello everyone. Well, where to start my story of what has happened in the last 6 or 7 weeks; - at the beginning I suppose.
On Friday March 27th at about 3 o’clock in the afternoon some people walked into the offices of the company where I work and announced that they were accountants appointed by the High Court and that our company was now in Administration, and that all affairs of the company would now be controlled by them. To those of you not in the U.K. this effectively meant that our company was one step away from being liquidated/dissolved.
To me and my colleagues this meant that we were staring in the face of enforced redundancy at short notice. You can imagine our shock at receiving such news, especially at 3 o’clock on a Friday afternoon! To say the weekend was wrecked was an understatement!
The following week some people were made redundant and a team of us was kept on to fulfill current contracts, at the Administrator’s discretion. In the ensuing 3 weeks or so the Administrators went through the company’s books with a fine toothed comb to assess the viability of the company with a view to finding a buyer to keep the company going.
None of us received wages for the month of March and we only received wages throughout April as & when the Administrators recovered money owed to the company.
The good news is that a buyer was found and on the 23rd April the company was bought out of Administration by the new owner. The last 3 weeks have been working to “steady the ship” and rebuild our client base. Hopefully the way forward is looking good although we still haven't received any money for March's wages.
The effect of all this on me was dramatic, it was too early in my WA education to go full time with affiliate marketing; I was/am nowhere near ready. After my Amazon note on April 3rd, I found it difficult to concentrate on the education courses so I am no further forward with that and development of my website has ground to a complete standstill. I found it hard to even pop in from time to time to keep up with responding to follow requests etc.
After taking some time to sit back and think about things, I have now decided that this course of action of doing nothing will not do, if these events happen again I need to be ready to go full time with affiliate marketing so I am going to attack my WA endeavours with renewed vigour. I have got a lot of catching up to do.
Sorry for such a long winded blog but I had to get it off my chest.
Thanks for reading,
Cheers,

Hi Eaglchris, You've been through a pretty stressful time. I can relate, but this isn't about me. Don't feel bad for your Blog being to long, it gives an understanding as to why you're where your at now! You're in a good place to make a difference, but it's going to take a lot of hard work. Sounds like your ready though. If I can be of help let me know?
Sharon:)
Yeah Man... difficult times I'm sure. Glad it's turned around for you. Keep plugging at the WA training. All the best. http://retirementandbeyond.com
Maybe that's just the thing you needed to be successful. Make up your mind to never be that vulnerable again. Work should be on YOUR terms. You can do this! That really stinks about the Mar wages. ~Debbi
Hi Debbi, feeling so vulnerable after those events has made me realise that I definitely need another source of income, and after searching high & low throughout the internet over the years I am entirely convinced that the door to that other source is here at WA, so onwards and upwards!
Cheers,
Chris.
