I would have suggested what you mentioned yourself: showing your awesome experience there! I would do it in the form of a blog, this will allow you to share daily through blog, pics and videos. A lot of travelers look to blogs for info nowadays because they get the real deal, not just what the official websites wants to show you.

You want to create the ''dream'', an experience, like when you are watching a travel show. If I see a travel tv show or web videos that catch my eye, I always take note and do research on that place, putting it on my ''to do'' travel list. The latest was Panama (where there was actually an awesome surfing community, but I forgot the name/city :( )

I believe you can make sales in time, people will want to know where you got your training and how did you get so good at it. That will be you opportunity to open up the door to introducing WA to them. People are curious beings, we always want to know, how, what, where, and why. You have all the tools to make it happen.
