Good afternoon, you lovely bunch of strange people; I hope this finds you well. Welcome to Day 5 of my 30 Day Holiday Challenge.
Today, so far, has all been about making lists of lists of lists - basically refining my niche choice.
As I said yesterday, I managed to create a raw list of questions using the SEO Minion Chrome extension and the People Also Ask section of Google's search results. I entered 4 separate keywords into Google Canada, USA, UK and Australia and this resulted in 1407 rows on my spreadsheet.
Today, I have refined that down by firstly de-duplicating the list - which took me down to 424 rows, I then stripped out any questions that were not directly related to my niche; this took me down to 126 rows.
I then took those 126 rows and grouped them into 19 (possibly 20) distinct 'buckets'.
This afternoon, I intend to make searches on each of those buckets to find which ones return the most user-generated content in the serps. The more UGC I can find, the better I should be able to rank.

Part 2
Evening all,
OK, today's work was a bit fractured and I didn't get as much done as I wanted but I do have something to share with you all:
Below is a link to my Google Sheet spreadsheet that I'm building up for this project.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZnIMCy92T3sPMDyGt9vm...
In fact, I got a little disheartened as I kept on not seeing any user-generated content in any of my questions until I came upon 1 question bucket that finally revealed some UGC - admittedly, they were only in position 6 and 9 on Google UK's serps - but it was a breakthrough. Then another run of nos until I hot a jackpot bucket where almost every question had high ranking UGC - yes!
OK, so I now have to run exactly the same information through Google USA, Google Canada and Google Australia - hopefully, they may reveal some more UGC in different buckets - but that's a task for tomorrow.
See you all tomorrow with a bigger, better spreadsheet!
