I have been struggling with meta discription for a while, looked at some training but to be honest not understood.TodayI have discovered how to change 'meta description' and got a green star in SEO.

For me it was a big acheivement as I do learn and remember when shown something new.

I write everythng in a book so I am able to reference back should I need to look again.

There is so much to learn since I started in WA, I just thought it was writing content and writing content. That is not the case, there is a load of other stuff to learn ,

Meta description, internal links, external links, writing alt attributes, slug and a load of others things.

I also learn by going to the help search in WA how much people are willing to share what they have found and passed it on.

Under your content SEO gives a list with different colours telling you what is not quite right with your content

Editing in wordpress and you have an SEO plugin that gives you red/amber/green about your content.

Each colour tells you what is missing

Red is problems

Amber - Admentment needed

Green - Good Result

I was finding majority of the time it was Keywords, Meta Description, Alt Attributes, and readablity.

Meta Description

Und your content if you have SEO there is a Snippet Preview which contains your Title

Your URL - at the end of the URL is an arrow pointing down click on it and it opens

Three headings - SEO/Slug/ Meta Description

Slug refers to your Key Words

Meta Description is where you can alter the description.

Many of you may know this but I am sure there are those that have not yet discovered it so I thought I would share.
