How Much Time Per Week Do You Really Have for Your Online Business?

Most of us aren’t working full-time on our blogs. We’re fitting it in around everything else. I used to think I had more time than I actually did. But when I looked closer, I realized I have about 10–12 hours a week to work on my business.

That shift helped me stop overplanning and start focusing on what really matters.

So, let me know:

-How much time per week do you realistically have for your online business or blog?

-Is it more about finding time, or protecting it once you have it?

Drop a quick comment, or even just an estimate. I'd love to hear how you're working around your schedule.

Thank you to everyone who commented on any of my previous posts.

You have an excellent point. Since I have been here I have seen people who are really unrealistic:

How much do you want to make: $10,000/mo
How much time will you put in: 2 hours/week

Even when they say 20, it's not realistic to do that. In a month (and there is a question someone did. I can't find it but they asked if it's possible to make $5000 in their first month).

OK rant over.

I put in around 25-30 hours a week. Maybe more if you include time thinking and chatting with others about ideas.

For me, it's about finding the time. But when I do, what am I supposed to do now? So part of that is planning ahead so when you find those "interstitial spaces" to get a little work done, you can.

Cheers,

Michael

Thank you for your comment, Michael. You made some great points here. Being realistic is a great step toward success. Setting reachable goals, even if smaller initially, can send you in the right direction. It is great if someone has a lot of time to put in, but it is as important to maximize the time you have, no matter how many hours that is.
