Any experience with "Dragon Naturally Speaking"

I am thinking about purchasing "Dragon Naturally Speaking." I am hesitant because it is not cheap and at least through Amazon once purchased it can not be returned. Has any member purchased it and what was our experince? To be clear I am intereested in the transcribing function.
Also I see that Foxfire has something called "Foxfire Voice"this appears to only allows one to control the various computer function This that correct
I would appreciate any opionions on this.
