First Website
Wordpress is something I have worked with before so I wasn't overwhelmed by it's complexity. Everything so far has been really easy to follow and duplicate. I must admit I did spend waaaay to much time picking out a theme and I'm still not sure I am happy with my choice. Once I start building content and adding pictures things will start looking better. Hi Donna. I'm an experienced web developer so I can help. Learning some basic CSS and HTML goes s Long way for anyone serious in this business. It's also really easy and free. it takes about 2 weeks tops. I also recommend learning some javascript and jquery if you have more time.
A paid application like CSS Hero could be of help for you if u don't code.
Try not to get themes that include a lot of functionality. It's bad practice and will one day hurt you. future Developers working on your site will have a hard time solving your issues too.
Themes are supposed to only be meant for style not functionality. Page Builders are generally perceived to be bad. There is a lot of debate surrounding them. But I would advise against page Builders.
