I was inspired to do this post by a recent blog post by Loes where she asked for feedback for her website and the outpour of honest feedback she got is just what I need for my website as well.

I would like feedback for my website: http://yourathomebusiness.com/. Not only would I like feedback for my website in general I would like feedback for my WA review landing page: http://yourathomebusiness.com/wealthy-affiliate-re....

I want to be able to provide the best user experience for my visitors and I can't do that if there's simple things I'm overlooking that may be preventing this. So remember please do not hold back. I won't be able to succeed if my website is not the best I can make it. So please don't leave any stone unturned.

Cheers,

Diondre

Hi Diondre I enjoyed your review, I left a comment

Hi Diondre, I am a little late coming to your blog and I see you have some good feedback. I have just been with WA a few months. You have a terrific website. Like the layout and it is very user friendly. I didn't find anything to critique.:) I left a comment for you (a testimonial of sorts) on your most recent post. I enjoy following you and reading your blogs. Gina Gonzalez

Hey Gina, not a problem better late than never. I too have been here for just a few months.

Thanks for that, I'm very happy to hear that. Thanks a lot for the comment, I just saw it and approved it already. I'm glad you enjoy reading and following me.

Hi Diondre, Your site looks great. However, you need to proofread your WA review as there are a few grammatical errors and words that are in the wrong place.

Being brutally honest as you requested, I personally do not like the WA review landing page taking you away from your site completely. Some people like to browse through other content before deciding whether to look deeper into the product being offered.

For instance, I may read a review or an article, but then I like to read the about me page to get a sense of the integrity of the author.

Apart from the above, I like the color scheme and layout. Your site is easy to navigate and not cluttered.

Hope this helps.
Lis.

Yea I was planning to do that cause I figured I would've missed some errors the last time I read through.

I can understand that. The idea of the landing page is to encourage focus on the content in front of a person without any distractions.

Thanks for your suggestions. Yes every bit helps.

Why don't you make the WA review as a static home page?

Then make your home menu tag as your blog roll?

Just a thought.

Lis.

I wanted to do something like that but not so much the entire page but a large section that links to my review sort of like what Jay has on his website.

I see what you mean. It is basically a screenshot that is linked. It would also be dependent on your theme as to how it looks.

Jay has also got an overlay over the screenshot to make it look more interesting.

You could either as Jay what theme he is using and what program he used to do the overlay or just experiment and come up with your own unique style.

Sorry, that is not much help.

Yea his theme allowed something like that. I've seen themes like this that allow that but nome that are free to use. I've been back and forth with themes and I think I'm gonna stuck with the one I got. It has a premium option that I was planning to buy at some point but not sure how much is available.

I like the theme that you are using. It is clean, uncluttered and looks good the way you have made it into your own style.

To be honest, as Kyle says, you do not need all the bells and whistles it is the content that you want people to concentrate on.

Yea those are the reasons I love it too and which is why I'm gonna get the premium version of it for those few extra features.

Hey Diondre, overall your site is really good and your WA review is fine. I like the part where you call people out -

"If by some miracle you can prove me wrong then feel free to come back here and vent your anger."

One thing - in your side bar you have a heading called Recommended Training. You have the WA, Chris Farrell and Bring the fresh.

You shouldn't have those grouped together, and you should change the heading.

Since these are reviews, change the heading to Reviews - calling it Recommended Training tells me these are the different places you recommend I can get the training I need.

And if your promoting the WA and grouping the WA with these other sites - you now giving me other options and possibly driving me to another membership site other than the WA. And you don't want that.

You want to have a clear definition of what you recommend. Don't confuse your visitor.

Another option is you can always remove this totally from the side bar and create a Review tab in your main menu with a drop down menu included and then you could have good and bad reviews.

Then if you want to have a heading Recommended Training create some training and link to those pages and then within those pages link to your WA review page.

Your SEO, Keyword Research links in your menu could be part of your Training.

Maybe consider calling it something other than Recommended Training

As an example and so you can see what that would look like - take a look at my site http://www.netwiseprofits.com/ I have a Review Tab and a Free Training tab in my menu and nothing in the side bar.

You always want to be driving people to your review page or directly to a custom sign up page to the WA.

You can create all kinds of custom signup pages using the tools in your WA Affiliate members area.

Hope this helps

I believe in you
Leo

Thanks for that, I like that part too.

Hmm those are interesting interesting suggestions and ones I needed cause I wasn't much of a fan of that area either. So thanks for that .

Oh so the idea is to make a smaller menu? Yea that would look nice but my worry is for mobile users cause long menus look weird on mobile devices.

I have a custom homepage but haven't designed a custom sign up page as yet.

Thanks for all the help.

Hey Diondree! Your site looks good. The only thing that I noticed is that a couple of areas on your right sidebar don't actually do anything. For example, "My Invitation To You", "Best Domain Name Prices" and "The Best Keyword Tool". Other than that, it looks very clean and you have a bunch of content. Best of luck to you.

Those areas have ads for WA, Namecheap and jaaxy.

Didn't see any ads when I went to the site. It just has the header. Maybe it was just my browser.

I like your site and WA review

Good to know.
