Internet service providers (AT&T Inc, Comcast Corp and Verizon Communications Inc, etc.) claim they will not obstruct or throttle lawful web content yet might participate in paid prioritization. They suggest that the mainly unregulated web functioned well in the two years before the 2015 order. (for who?)
Republican FCC Commissioner Mike O'Rielly noted that self-driving vehicles and from another location kept an eye on medical procedures might require web solution which their demands could be given concern "over cat videos."
O'Rielly stated it is not likely any kind of internet company would voluntarily submit to a "Public Relations nightmare" by "trying to engage in blocking, throttling or incorrect discrimination. It is just not worth the track record price."
Still, Democrats have pointed to polls showing an abolition is deeply undesirable and also state they will dominate in shielding the policies, either in the courts or in U.S. Congress.
Immediately after the vote, Senator Edward Markey, a Democrat, said he and 15 other senators planned to introduce a resolution to undo the FCC action and restore the net neutrality rules.
