In this year 2020, the date scheduled on 10th of April and there we are. On many complexes set of calculations based on the observations of the moon today's date is decided. There are many methods people used to schedule this date across the globe. Some parts of the globe base on their calendar to choose the date.

For those who knew about it and have used to celebrate it, I just want to wish you all, happy Good Friday. It is very important day when our Lord has put to an end the perpetual sacrifice for sins before God, which has been instructed to the mankind for their forgiveness, through the law of Moses, as a shadow of God's promise to the humanity.

Why Today's Date Is Different?

Since the beginning of the day, it has been always a special day. People used to celebrate it all over the world. In United Kingdom this day is very special and crucial. And the celebration is listed officially so that everyone must be aware of it.

From today this day is becoming more special, not because people's salary was double or everyone else has won a million of lottery, or something interesting has happened in people's life. But today's date 10th April has put a reminder in everyone s mind forever. Some people even forget that today is good Friday because this lock down and social distance's new situation we are all in,to fight COVID-19.

The habit that this modern world has taught us and put inside oue mind as part of motivation and reminder of this day, can not actually be taking into action. That is why I put the SALE image on the front page to describe my article.

Why SALE Is The Front Page Image?

When it comes to Good Friday, the first thing that comes to our mind is how to go shopping because all the shops are going to do some SALES. The prices are going to come down a bit so we all rush to jump on the opportunity for different reasons. There are many people who hear about Good Friday but can not really tell what it is meant because SALE DAY advertising has been highlighted in their knowledge at the first place for marketing reason. I completely agree with that as far as it puts happiness to everyone s face.

The reason why we will have the date of today in remembrance more than the previous day,is that, we are all in self isolation and social distancing rules implementation period. All the shops and shopping center are closed. Even the Televisions are not actives in advertisement as they used to be in normal time, they are in obligation to show and give the updated evolution of the covid-19 infections and death toll across the country.

Everything is affected even our days of happiness and joy are not excluded. Analogically I can say this is beyond any expectation. We are now experiencing or passing through a moment no one will ever forget especially the usual activities we used to exercise on this particular day, has been taken from us involuntarily.

If it weren't for all these deaths, I would say it's a great experience to live. If the world became a little less crazy after this epidemic and profit did not take the place of people's well-being, that would be a real blessing. Let's wait to see the world after.

Thank you for your post.

Chris

This is indeed a unique Easter break for 2020 especially with all the lockdown. However, it is important to remain upbeat and use this time of self-isolation and social distancing to reflect on our personal lives, especially about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Thanks for sharing Yaovi.

We are Blessed.

Hi Yaovi. We had our Good Friday yesterday in Sydney Australia. All shops were closed. It is normally a day of respect in Sydney.
Enjoy and have a great Easter
Stephen.

Yes, today is Good Friday but I have to say, I've NEVER put sales and Good Friday in the same thought. I didn't even know there was a correlation.

We will have an online service tonight for Good Friday but Easter Sunday will be sad yet celebratory. Sad because our service will be online and I can't celebrate with friends afterwards yet joyful because of what Easter represents.
