There is a view that creators should keep creating content without looking at analytics too often. The reason is understandable. If someone keeps checking views, reach, audience growth, or earnings again and again, they may get distracted from the actual content creation process.
But at the same time, I have also learnt that it is important to keep an eye on the Insights and Analytics provided by the platform one is using.
Because the data gives us very important information about the audience our content is attracting.
For me, one of the most useful things analytics reveal is whether the demographics of the audience match the audience I was hoping to reach.
If the audience reflecting in the analytics aligns with my expectations, then it confirms that I am moving in the right direction.

But if the audience does not match my expectations, then that information is useful too.
It helps me understand that either:I need to adjust my content according to the audience I actually want to attract,
Or
I may continue creating more of the kind of content that is already resonating with the audience currently engaging with my posts.
And I think this is why analytic insights are so important in understanding the connection between the content & the expected audience.
Because sometimes the content is performing exactly as it should. It is simply reaching a different audience than the one we originally imagined.
