It's been a journey
After joining WA for almost 2 years, I want to share some personal experience here.
I've started create website back in May 2014, back then I was new to affiliate marketing and was learning everything basically from WA(courses were great fundamental training). I created a website that talks about travel and make posts regarding travel tips or solve problems people might have.
First year I didn't have much success, I maybe had couple sales but not much going on. Last March I had a sale amount of 1100, which I made 55 commission out of it. At that point I started to become motivated. During last summer I was making about 150-250 and I was so excited, I actually recruit a couple of friends of mine to help me write blogs on topics.
During last Fall I started to see more results, I made 300-400 for October and November, and 1200 for December. I think it was because people travel in December much more. By then I just kept making plans and trying to move forward as results have encouraged me to keep going.
First half of the year so far in 2016 I average 900/month in earnings. Last month I made 2000 which was a breaking record. One key change this year was my website theme, I got double pageviews after I bought this new theme on wp from a vendor for 39 bucks. UX is so important nowadays you got to have a sharp web theme!
I'm so excited to make new plans for my website as I'm trying to get more and more pageviews and sales. If you have a plan, take steps to it. Often times we hesitate so much and just didn't do anything by the end of the day because we worry that it's not going to work. I probably only spend 10-20 hours a month, but I've definitely built something, and if i can do it, you can too! It's all about hard work, and I give WA a lot of credit, cheers!

Congrats, Dean!
On your profile, you wrote that you've "been doing business online for about 5 years". My question is: have you tried others learning programs?
Question number 2: if you will start another website, would you invest in a Premium theme at the beginning? How important is a Premium theme on a scale from 1 to 10 (1=not important, 10=very important).
Thank you in advance!
Hello there,
No I actually did an online shop before, it was okay but didn't have that much going on. I also tried forum but I think those would require more work and content and on going management. However I have came across smartpassiveincome.com and have learned some stuff there.
If I were to start another website depending on the topic, I probably would get premium theme right away. From 1-10 I'd say it's a 7-8. Also it should come with good mobile version too as a lot of searches are coming from Google search.
