Aging well is all about taking care of yourself.
Living life to the fullest means taking care of yourself and this is about more than just staying in shape physically. It's also about staying mentally and emotionally healthy and sustaining our energy, vitality, and zest for life.
Along with the wisdom and experience that come with age, adopting a healthy lifestyle now despite our past eating habits can leave us not just feeling healthier and more vigorous but also happier and more fulfilled.
Healthy lifestyle includes eating healthily, which most authorities say is to eat more fresh fruit and mainly green vegetables, with plenty of water.
Some advocate a diet rich in live, as close to raw as possible, varied vegetables.
Some say to limit, or even avoid, meat, processed foods, eggs, dairy, sugar, salt and coffee.

Ok, so we basically know the direction to go. More greens and fresh and varied fruit and veges, limit or even better avoid processed foods, cut down or even cut out meat and perhaps cheese and eggs. Drink more water and less coffee and soft drinks, eliminate as much as we can sugar and added salt.
But, for many people, especially those of us who have had a life of being 'meat and potato' eaters, and for many baby boomers, doing this is not easy. Becoming vegetarian or even vegan is a tall ask, if not an impossible (to our eyes) task.
Even if we were to go totally vegan we still are not totally out of the woods so to speak. With depleted soils and land, genetically modified crops, over fertilisation with pesticides and other poisons, we are still not 'eating healthy'.
So what is the best way forward?
We can change what we can, what we are comfortable with, for although we eat to live we should also
enjoy our food, and if eating totally 'green' is just 'too much', then we can do what we can – eat more greens and less or no 'fast food' or 'convenient foods', drink more water and such AND ALSO take supplementation that can easily and tastefully enhance and maximize our task of 'eating healthily'
