7 years and counting!
Well, I logged on this morning and found a dedication badge.
Yes, it has been seven years today since I joined Wealthy Affiliate!
Back on January 26, 2016, I was desperate to find a way to create a legit business online! I also had the shiny object syndrome and had been scammed out of my hard-earned quite a few times.
That is until one day when I decided to verify the claims of a website that swore to provide the same "get rich quick" solutions.I ended up on a website called barenakedscam by a prominent WA member called JackCao; the rest is history.
Fast forward to January 26, 2023, and things are looking better than ever. My traffic has constantly been increasing, and I have a lovely "sideline" business that will become my full-time gig when I retire.
Yes, when I retire!
I have been doing this part-time since I joined, and even though I could have made the jump to full-time and increased my monthly revenue to full-time revenue, I chose to keep working and increase my pension plan.
Once I do retire, I will have this very well-oiled machine that will provide a very nice extra income (which is already doing to my regular paycheck, as a matter of fact).
All this is to say that a WAnniversary is something to celebrate and share with other members, not to brag, but to show that anything is possible and we all have a different path to success!

Congratulations for your seventh anniversary at Wealthy Affiliate, it's amazing where the time goes!
I think we probably have a similar story, Denis, I can literally relate to your post 100% as I'm almost doing exactly what you are doing! I also like to do things, I find it far more satisfying building a website etc. than sitting in front of the television (something I have never done) or going on retail therapy etc. etc.!!
I'm really pleased that your web business is growing, I have read your blog posts over the years and it is so encouraging to see you and others progressing. I look forward to hearing more in the future.

Congrats on 7 Years Denis! You have a sound business plan and working it to perfection. Making consistent progress for the long haul on a part time basis does indeed work. When you do retire from your day job, just think what you can do with WA on a full time basis. With no pressure since your pensions will be your baseline income.

Congrats on seven years with Wealthy Affiliate! Itâs amazing how long itâs been seeing the progress that youâve made.
I like how you said that youâll be making income when you âretireâ.
Thatâs exactly how I think of it: best to keep earning income while in retirement.
I never thought of retirement as the thing to do at age 65. You still should be able to make passive income, even as you get older and can no longer work.
