Infected Website

I put a ticket in about 5 hours ago and haven't heard anything as of yet. I have some type of spyware/malware, but only on one of my websites. All day yesterday I kept thinking my laptop was infected and ran scans. (I work in the IT field). I had window pop ups all day while working on a post.

Once I got to work today, I was fine until......guess what???? I opened up my website and Pop-ups once again. I am only getting them when my website is open. Both computers are fine and work great until I open this.

I need to finish my post and although I am in the IT field, I am new to Wordpress and do not know how to fix this problem. I had already taken four days off for a little getaway weekend and now I need to get back to the grind.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I thank you in advance for your help in this matter.

Well just checked one of my other websites and I guess that is infected as well. As soon as I logged in I got a new window....ugh

Hi everyone and thanks for your help. The problem was actually and extension in Google Chrome. It was weird as it only happened when logging into my websites otherwise it was fine. I deleted the extension and all is well again.

You know that happened to me once. I actually had a program called safe web that had downloaded as a hitchhiker with something else I downloaded. Check your program list for "Safeweb" I actually had to call my ISP and talk to a tech to gey rid of it.Also, Malware bytes has a free program you can download to get rid of crap like that

What plugins do you have installed?

if you've a McAfee or other spyware malware protection you can run a scan on your web browser, and maybe try getting a new browser like fire fox, Google chrome or internet explorer, if that doesn't work it may be a plugin you downloaded and you may have to delete them all and get them back, here are some websites that might help too:
1. sitechecksucuri
2. unmaskparasites
3. virustotal
4. phishtank
please use these with caution this is freeware be careful.

Hi yes, I scanned all day yesterday as well as in Safe Mode. Again the only time the browser acts up is when I log into my websites. I am not big on freeware, but I may need to try one of these. Thanks for the info

NP, you can also try tutorials online it may help too.
