I want to cry

I just spent hours writing one of my theme pages. Just as I was finishing up, I decided to click the update button. It opened up a page asking if I was sure that I wanted to do this, which I thought was really strange. I clicked yes and low and behold, my entire post disappeared. Note to self (and being in the IT field I should know this) save your information frequently while writing your posts....ugh!!

Wow. So sorry for your loss. That is horrible...

Oh Dawna dear, your fingers must be working too fast. Hope some miracles would happen. Please don't cry. This is part and puzzle of learning. Keep your spirit high. Cheer up!

I hope you were able to save some of it from what Shawn mentioned. Did you find any of your post in the drafts?

2

Oh no what a nightmare. Hopefully Shawn's suggestion finds some of it has been saved. Good luck, these things are sent to triers but hopefully it won't put you off. Keep going and good luck. Wendy.

Sorry for it, I hope that you will find it in draft area, good luck:)

Fingers crossed you have some of it saved like Shawn suggested. Best to type up in Notepad first then copy and paste, means you've also got a backup copy.

What a........Yuuuuck. Sorry girl:-(

Bummer...that's the worst...I'm so sorry :-(

Wordpress is good for this, and I Found if you are going to save stuff as you create it in Wordpress save it very often.

Now, here is the most important question, did you do any saves at all while you were working on it. If so you may still have a good portion of it

Go into your dashboard > all pages or posts, whichever you were working on, and check your drafts folder to see if any of this got saved.

Unfortunately I did not save it as a draft. I completely lost it. I just rewrote the entire page. I think I have most of the information that I had previously written, just slightly different. I won't make that mistake again. Thank you

Awww, sorry :(

Arggggg!!!!! I hate that! I have often thought about writing them all in MS Word but apparently it can cause problems when you paste it into your web site even as text only. Sorry that happened!
