The Work Ethic or Welfare?
THE WORK ETHIC WE INHERITED GROWING UP HAS FALLEN PREY TO THE 'WELFARE' SYSTEM.
The Cato Institute released an updated 2014 study (original study in 1955) showing that welfare benefits pay more than a minimum wage job in 33 states and the District of Columbia. Even worse, welfare pays more than $15 per hour in 13 states. According to the study, welfare benefits have increased faster than minimum wage. It’s now more profitable to sit at home and watch TV than it is to earn an honest day’s pay.

This is what socialism does to a country. I believe we should help those who need help but not those too lazy to help themselves. We grew up on a welfare check of $200 per month when my dad walked out on his 5 kids in 1953. As soon as my mother was able she got a full time job and left money in the bank when she died. My father died alone a pauper. An honest day's work doesn't hurt anyone who is able but those who milk the system for all they can get fall at the lowest level of the totem pole.
Same in Holland, you have a better live sitting on the couch, than earning the minimum wages and working for 40 hours a week.

The same old story. The rich get richer. The poor get poorer.
But we can stop that you know simply by becoming educated on political canidates and voting on the one's that have a bad record.
