Commitment is Freedom

Ya know? Less is more.

It's true.

I run into so many people who feel like they're being 'tied down' to a business, relationship, job...you name it. What I realize is that people feel like they're more free when they can 'explore' their options.

But the you have to ask yourself, 'what is the true value of these options?'

If the options are valuable then, hey, go for it.

Otherwise, hunker down. Dig Deep.

Find that commitment to create your freedom from distractions. Give your all to whatever it is you choose to do and one will see how much more freedom that actually provides.

What I think is going on here is that people make commitments to the WRONG decisions. The WRONG job, the WRONG spouse or partner, the WRONG business opportunity and they search for something better.

Making conscious, well-informed decisions. Choose your path and skies the baseline!

Hi Darryl, Liked your blog. A wonderful idea. It is an important subject, however,I really think it needs a little more meat on the bones,

Man, Darryl, I just had to comment on this. It seems to me that the formula is from ambivalence, to decision making, to, commitment , to action plan, to implementation,, to freedom. That's not complicated, but it is the process of going from the state of being unsure to a state of freedom.

I began a blog today on "Procrastination The Great Enemy." I'm electing to set that aside because your topic,(judging from the comments) seems more imperative.

At this moment in time, the venetian blinds in back of my skull are beginning to shut down. I'm hoping to post it tomorrow, Sunday the 17th, It could be: " Freedom From Doubt About What the Heck You're Doing".

Tell me, what do you think of this? Should we collaborate on this? I have an idea on how we could possibly do that with each of us being credited with the blog. I do not want to upstage you or do an end run around you.

You are fast becoming a valuable member to the WA community and that needs to be respected. Please respond. Whatever you say goes - Al Hurley

Al, your insight and intelligence is what I need. I look forward to your comments because I know you're pushing me to be better, greater, more influential and purposeful. You're more of an authority than me, please let me know what you'd like to do. I'm definitely open to suggestions. Procrastination is the Enemy to Meaningful and Fulfilled Lives. Don't shut your venetian blinds just yet! Also, tomorrow Sunday is the 16th. Thanks for the compliment but I'm just doing what was suggested. Participate, ask and get better every day. I'll look forward to following your lead Al!

great blog Darryl

Thanks crazy cat! I'm working on getting better, any feedback is much appreciated.

Oh Darryl! I love your blog today! It's all about choices! :-) So many people have limited beliefs and it causes them to stand in their own way! If you believe in yourself, the world is yours!

When did you figure that out?! I love how you can always paraphrase what I tried to convey in two sentences!!

That's cute! Sharon is good Darryl, real good! :)

Thank you Darryl! I guess I just resonate with what you write my friend! :-) Also thank you Genevieve for your kind words too!

Great words here Darryl. I'm having a big slash & burn of draining unprofitable (& I don't just mean $) projects presently myself. WA is not one of them! So wise this posting my friend!

Kind words from a great man such as yourself Damien. I haven't had one Guru email in 3 days and I feel like my life is getting better. I'm committing and going all in!! Join me brother!

I've had my downtime & revive, so now I'm going to give it a real good shake this year brother - I'm with ya!....'Guru email' love it man - I so know what you mean!

I'm a bit of a commitment phobic, but made a few exceptions in my life: my passions, my pets and now WA! :)

You're on the right track!! What kind of pets do you have??

Baby steps to commitment, hum, but for freedom; I might take bigger ones! ;) I have a big 148 lbs dog (to whom my first site is dedicated too) and 2 lovely cats. Do you have any?

I agree with you except that at times there is no making the best decision if we were to wait then we may never move but what needs to be done is to make an informed decision based on the info at hand and make adjustments as more info comes to hand. Far too often we just collect data but do nothing with it. Remember the shuttle failed not for a lack of data but for someone acting on the data. So for now set goals and adjust as you go along.

Very Very Well said! I was linking it to my Clarity with Uncertainty post. I think sometimes it's just good to go forward and make your way instead of hopping from one thing to the next.

WA is the right choice!

I AGREE completely!

Add a comment...Wa is definitely the best place to be and the right decision

I'm sure of at least one thing. The right community - WA

many things lead to wrong choices or decisions. and it can take time to find the right direction, as for the work now I have found this will stay the course and achieve the freedom of working for myself and the hours that fit the circumstances I am now in. thank you for sharing

You're getting there faster than you know it Katie! Awesome attitude!
