When Are Certain Keywords Trending?
I think that there is a valuable resource out there that helps know when certain keywords will be trending in the future and with this information you can plan your website content - blogs, advertising campaigns, any content you can think of to match those trending keywords. Start writing your blogs now when you have time, and save them for the proper launch or publishing dates.
So this resource is called Google Trends. Here is the link:
https://trends.google.com/trends/
On top is a search field called "Explore Topics". There you can enter any keyword or subject you may be interested in and the result will show a graph when the keyword was popular last year.
To give you an example, I entered "Wish List". See the result below:
https://trends.google.com/tren...
So you can see from the graph that the keyword Wish List last year started to rise around September 10, 2016 and took a small dip around October 1, 2016 and then steadily rose and peaked until approximately December 3, 2016! This seemed a little early for the holidays so I was surprised. The trend for that keyword was still being used and steadily declined until it finally bottomed out on 1/7/2017.
So the lesson we have learned here is that now is the time to start thinking about holiday blogging. September 10, 2017 is only 15 days away! So anyone that has a shopping website you may want to think about this keyword and search for other trends to get specific dates when you need to be proactive.

Matching your keywords to your ongoing site, blogs and other working platforms is essential Darlene! Do you have "back to school" promotional items identified?
Well I just looked out of curiosity since you mentioned it and it is actually too late for the keyword "Back to School". It actually started rising on June 18, 2017 and then peaked on August 6, 2017 and is now in decline. Interesting though, last year the keyword had a short window of a slight rise 12/18/16 - 1/1/17 presumably for holiday gifts or after Christmas Sales.
So from this info we gained the keyword "wish list" would be more productive right now.
