Do You Ever Wonder?

Do you ever wonder if everything on your site is right? I have been on WA for a few months now and I do continue to work on my site daily. But there is always something in the back of my mind that says something is not added or plugged in right. As my site grows I have things like Linkedin, Twitter, Yahoo Bing, Google, Wordpress and you know. I do wish there was a program that could go to my site and inspect for accuracy!

I do wonder if I have everything exactly as needed? I am not a program designer or professional website builder. I am a sales manager for over twenty years and have only used computers that were user friendly! And sometimes not friendly to me! lol I can walk into almost any new car dealership in the country and never skip a beat about what my responsibilities are. I don;t have to think I just do.

I know that there are many people that grasp exactly what is being taught and how to check to make sure it is correct. I just want to be confident that I am doing the right things. How to be confident that I never have to wonder! Daniel forrealwebbuilder.com

I suspect a website, especially a blog site should always be considered a work in progress.
All the best,

We are our own worst enemy.....cut yourself a little slack....

I'm doing this all the time. The last few days, I've been trying to setup WordPress SEO by Yoast but have been having problems with it. It is frustrating. The Open Graph and Twitter cards will not do what hey are supposed to lol.

Sometimes it's nice to have a friend go through and read it. They will see little things that we miss because we've looked at it so long. I tend to write my posts/blogs in Word and run them through the grammar and spell check so I catch some things that way. Then I copy/paste. I've gone back and done an edit later. Not a big deal. The important thing is to do the best you can with it initially and keep moving. ~Debbi

Yup, I do always wonder..:) and as they all said, a site is and probably will never perfect. That is why you keep working on it. Update older content, create new content.

Your site is and art project in constant edit mode...especially updating outdated content later on...always needs tweaking! :)

Carla, is right. No site will be perfect. I've been doing this for years and I'm still always tweaking my site and feel like it's missing something or can be improved in other ways. That said ultimately what really matters is your content. Everything else is a distraction. If you're writing quality content regularly that's what's going to make your site succeed!

Google is successful because it does a great job of providing the content and sites we need. It's not necessarily the bells and whistles.
If Google failed to provide us the content we want and need, we would stop using it. So your blog is the same way.

I hope this keeps it in perspective.

I do agree with Carla. It's a steady work in progress.

I don't think a site is every going to be totally "perfect." Yes, a lot of people know more than a lot of others, but I doubt even their sites are perfect. A site is always a work in progress. Just get it out there. You can work on it while it's public and keep doing your best to make it better.
