Oooops...Time Flies When You're Chatting Fun :)
Hey y'all! Taylor here.
Well I sat down a while ago to work. (Won't tell you how long ago..but it was loooong.) And then, chat happened. I've never really been in any conversations in chat and always found it hard to stick myself in since there's usually a conversation going on. A conversation, I must add, that I cannot follow in any way, shape or form. The reason, I'm new and therefore don't know the people who hang out in chat and since their conversations make it pretty obvious they know each other well...well, it's hard to go in.
But ya know what....!
I decided it's time for me to learn a bit about the people here...get a feel for the community and hopefully start to forge connections with the members here. (Yup, a little selfish since it'll help me down the road and will make me feel like less of an outsider. :) )
So I jumped into chat. And guess what...! It wasn't all that terrible! In fact, it was quite interesting actually! So much so...that I forgot to do any work...oops!
So now I'm off to try and get some work done. Cuz after all...I am here to make money :)

That is great to jump right in. Don't feel alone, I am new too :) But everyone here is very friendly and helpful-I have never found a site like this that is truly dedicated to helping others succeed and teaching them the online business at the same time.
You forgot to do some work, so that is ok. Maybe your work for that day was to chat and get to know others/make connections.

It's fantastic you took the leap into chat. It doesn't matter what else is going on, everyone is welcome. I appreciate that chat does have a strong "office water-cooler" element for those of us who work online full time. It's a bit of a Catch 22 because if Members didn't socialise using it, then they wouldn't be around at all. The majority will always stop nattering about trivialities and try to answer questions, however if it's a complex issue, chat is manic or you want more than one hopefully *considered* opinion, then I always recommend opening a Discussion in the relevant classroom. Rich. x
If i have a questions, I do start a discussion...just did chat for socializing element and to start being a part of the community :)
Aw, no probs. I was thinking more for other people reading this, sometimes people post hideously complex questions in chat that can appear to get ignored, it's usually that just no one has an answer to hand. Rich. x
Yeah, I made that mistake on one of my first days here...but realized that a lot of the times the conversations go so fast and people are replying within their own conversations so it's hard to answer complicated questions...totally understand!
