I am looking to write a review on WA. Is it possible to see how many paid or active members there are on WA community? Thanks.

I've added pages to my wordpress blog, but I don't see the comment box for people to add comments. Is this available only when I create posts on my blog? Thanks.

Thanks Jovo for the training material. I do have one question. Is it possible to bulk edit the pages and posts, or do I have to do the quick edit as shown in your training? Thanks again.

There are some options in settings, so this should work in general. But most likely you will have to do this manually everywhere.

You can enable it, please have a look in my training here:

WA Affiliate Program

This question is regarding sharing content that is here on WA using the affiliate link provided when I click on the affiliate link button that is at the top of each topic here

Hi Bert,

Thanks for your response. Does the cookie expire and also when people are redirected to a topic page, are they allowed to view only that topic, or are they free to views and search for every other topics available on wealthy affiliate.

Dan

Nope the cookie is a never expiring...
But after cleaning the cookies or a reinstall of the computer, it will be gone of course..

Glad I could help....

Hello,

Yes indeed, when you use the link of the topic, you redirect people to that topic and not to the sign-up page.
(But the cookie is saved and you are the one that will rake the credit when they sign-up..)

You don"t have to be a member to view the posts here at WA...
When people do a search in Google and they follow the link to the page, then they also can view the blog or question and by default I think they are linked to the author of the blog/question...

Grtz,
Bert

I don't want to launch my site until it has a good amount of content on it. Is there a way to keep my wordpress blog private? Thanks.

Hi Dan, create the content for your post or page and save it as a draft as you add content, this way it won't appear on your site. Once you are happy with it, publish it.
If you still wish to keep it private, in text editor on the right you will see visibility: Public, click on edit, in the dropdown click on Private.

Hi Harry. Thanks for the tips. Due to thin content, I have already been turned down by an affiliate program.

Without any content, you aren't going to get much, if any, visitors anyway.

I wouldn't worry about it, and it's probably better to get your site out in the search engines as soon as possible.

I think you are making mistake. Make it public without delay.

My thinking is that launching a site with little to no content might turn off some visitors and may discourage them from coming back in the future. Will google penalize sites with little or no content?

When you search, you search for specific keyword, and you end up on specific post. You do not care for the rest. Google will definitely not penalize you.

That is great to know. The only reason I am asking is because I was turned down by an affiliate program due to thin content. Of course, not every affiliate program will care if I have little content.

About the only thing you can do is go under Settings << Reading and check the "Discourage search engines from indexing this site" box.

There's really no reason to keep things "private". Initially, you're not going to get much traffic anyway. Unless you bought a Super Bowl Ad.

But if you must, you could just keep all your pages and posts in draft status or use a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/underconstruction/

Hi Chris,

Does the Discourage search engines from indexing this site option guarantee it won't be indexed?

Thanks.

Dan

I think the only way to 100% guarantee your site won't be indexed is to either not have one or to have the entire site restricted to be viewable only to logged in users.
