I Just Got Way Outside My Comfort Zone
I just wrote an entire new post just by getting out my comfort zone.
My comfort zone tends to be my home. I have a home office so I try to get my work done there. But lately, I am finding that I am spending way too much time looking at tv, news, Youtube, doing other stuff, eating, and allowing all kinds of distractions to keep me from getting my Wealthy Affiliate lessons done.
I had decided in December, that I needed to probably start going to the library to get work done. Ok - YES - I do realize it is now April.
I PROCRASTINATED OK!
But here I am. I finished two whole hours working in a little library work room. All by myself. Just me, my laptop, my phone, and folks peeking at me wondering what the heck I am working on LOL.
The point I want to make is this - WE ALL NEED TO PRACTICE GETTING OUT OF OUR COMFORT ZONE - ON PURPOSE - IF WE ARE TO GROW AND LEARN.
Also - if you are treating this like a real business, you need to set aside consecrated time to get your work on your website done. You need to set aside time to get your lessons done in the Certification program or for the Affiliate Bootcamp. If this means you need to go to the library to get work done, then that is what you need to do. Sometimes we can just have way too many distractions at home...
I see now, that if I were to do this 2-3 times per week I could seriously make a RIDICULOUS amount of progress with my Wealthy Affiliate lessons and therefore my websites...

Sounds like you made a wise decision stepping away from home and "going to the office".
All the best,
Brian
@brianch Thanks Brian. Yeah I thought I would feel self-conscious and weird but actually it forced me to not sit there and screw around and I was able to stay focused...
I know what you mean about getting too comfortable working from home. There are way too many distractions and temptations. If the library works for you great. You've found your solution!

@lynnsam61 Yeah. I am going to build a habit of going a couple mornings a week just to see what progress I make.

Good for you! I have been pretty lax with WA lately but it is because I started a job a couple months ago and time has become a much needed commodity. The job was good for me as it is now a major reminder as to why I am here and what I need to do. Shaking things up can be a good thing and a great way to put things back into perspective.
@DannyB1 - Yeah I am starting to look at things differently now. I like it when things around me are not perfect because that is a strong reminder that if I want my life to be different, I have to put in the time with my WA stuff to create an income that will allow me to have time freedom and financial freedom. It is possible. Just have to put in a little time EVERY day no matter what... You have a new job so that means putting in time at lunch time or putting in 30 minutes before going to work or committing to a whole hour of work every night. You got this...
