Spring is here and I am loving it!

Hi everyone,

I know I don't blog very much but I wanted to this morning. It is such a beautiful spring day here in Southern Louisiana. The flowers are blooming and the birds are chirping and I plan on enjoying the very short spring before the heat sets in!

We have a very short spring here. In fact all of the seasons are short. Louisiana is sub tropical so we get a lot of rain also. That makes everything grow like crazy!It

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I do not like the cold or snow. I like to look at pictures as it is beautiful, but I am so glad I don't have to deal with it. It may snow here every 10 - 15 years and then only a little bit. The whole city of New Orleans and surrounding areas just totally shut down when that happens!

I don't like the heat either, but there are so many ways to cool off. I love a nice glass of ice tea with lemon and mint.

There are so many things to do here all year. The weather can get crazy at times but I still love it. We could have some spring flooding and then hurricane season comes around!

I wouldn't want to be anywhere else though. Louisiana is really a magical unique place.
