What is Coding
You may be a bit supprised why I have brought coding here at this time but, let us first know what it is for those not knowing it at all.
Coding: This is just the codes behind our website. The Skeleton and the logic behind your website. The digestive system of your website. It is the language programmers/software engineers write so that any website is created. This is different from what you always do when installing a new website theme. Think about those who created that theme from scratch. Those are the coders and what they did is refered to as coders.
Why an online worker needs to know it
You don't have know all the complex syntax - language and all of those complicated codes programmers write everyday.

HTML: Hyper Text Mark Up Language. Its what determines the content of the website content i.e the appearance, location and flow and others. You will see HTML codes in your wordpress editor if you ckick on the [text] tab as shown
That is where you can access HTML from.
Don't Ever temper with that button if you have no basic HTML knowledge. But you need this knowlege because some times you need to engineers some parts of you website in the way diffrent from that of programmers.
CSS: Cascading Style Sheet. This is what controls the total look of your website. It's designs the content which was created by HTML. Consider it as a finishing of the house. You can't understand it without basic HTML.
To access where you write your CSS/Designing codes, go to your Dashboard>>Appearance>>Customise>>Additional CSS.
You will see where the code is written as follows:-

In order to improve your site readability, I advise you to learn ONLY THE BASICS of these 2 tools. They go hand in hand.
You can find out a lot of tutorials on Youtube. No spending money on courses over this. Just go to YouTube and search HTML CSS tutorial for beginners.
