Yes, updating and re-publishing do mean the same thing and are used interchangeably. Actually, 'updating' content means there's usually additions to the content or major changes, and thus you would then also change or "update" the published date to the current date when updating.

Watched Kyle's video in Level Three, Lesson four about embedding HTML codes. I can do it for a showcase but not for a URL. I always get the whole code showing.
When you paste HTML code you need to make sure that you have the opening and closing angle brackets in place ('
The way to do it is in WP editor, there are two tabs at the top of the page. One is Visual, other is Text. Please your cursror where you want the link/code and then go to Text tab. Paste the code. Go back to Visual to see the result. Sometimes it just shows a symbol for script coding. Preview the page to see if it worked. That's all there is to it! Paula

Most themes have a 'sticky post' option. Try going to Posts > All Posts and use Quick Edit to see if it's there.
