Greatest Christmas ever!
Hi Folks!
For me, Christmas is one of the best times in the year. Days are short, it gets dark early making this time somehow comfortable, when you're at home. And best of all: you can spend a lot of time with your family. Actually this is what I like most.
But this year it got even better, because I could transfer my first cashback from DubLi to my prepaid Mastercard! This was my best Christmas present this year :)
Doesn't sound special? Well, there's a little story behind the story....
I used to work fulltime for an insurance company in the claims department since 1999. It was my first job ever. Even though I knew after 2 weeks (!) that I was so damn wrong with my job decission I stayed with that company for 15 years now. Why? Well, I knew I was wrong but for a long time I didn't know which branch is right for me.
Very early I got in contact with Network Marketing and could see the possibilities it has to offer. So during the years I tried several companies but couldn't find the right one for me. Most of them offer products at ridiculous prices which no one is willing to pay even if the products are good. Others want you to attend seminars each weekend and to buy products when you're there. My expenses were always bigger than my income...
Finally I gave up on working in Network Marketing. That was a very hard decission as I had been sure it would be a chance to quit my office job with the insurance company.
Then something happened that brought me forward: I applied as an instructor in our company - and was declined with the following words from my supervisor: "Your ideas are very creative and we will certainly use some of them in our education program. But, unfortunately, we can't give you the job as we see that the people are more important to you than the company." I'm sure I don't have to explain what this means and what are the ethical concepts of that company. But what could I expect - it's an insurance company. The money counts, nothing else.
The good news is: I knew I had to work with human beings - not customers :)
And accidentally I could start working as a Trainer for social competence in schools with a very good team. Immediately I reduced my working time with the insurance company by more than half!. Although I feel like being absolutely right as trainer I still needed a second income stream.
I'm German and our kids here have 15 weeks of holidays every year. Good for the kids. Good for the teachers (and they deserve EVERY week of it! Being a teacher is one of the hardest jobs I know, seriously!). Bad for me. Because: no school -> no classes -> no income. So, back to Network Marketing. Remember? Working with people :)
So what company could be right? No weekly seminars - check. Wide range of products - check. Affordable products - check. Good support - check. Attractive commissions - check. Available in different languages - check. I found all this with DubLi. So I joined right away as an affiliate partner. But then I found a lot of scam reports on the internet about DubLi. I got nervous - really nervous. Not because I could loose the $500 I paid to join the affiliate program. But I planned to have it as my second income stream and finally quit my office job - which in the meanwhile is really hard to motivate me for. Remember the 2 weeks/15 years story? Yep, it's stupid. But hey, no one's perfect ;)
So I read stories about DubLi being closed down, unpaid commissions, illegal activities and much more. Hell what kind of company did I join?! But I got a feeling that it was the right company anyway. And what can I say? With a little research I could remove all doubt. They are not doing illegal business (cashback shopping really isn't illegal :)), they are paying commissions (I couldn't write this article if they weren't) and they are far away from being shut down.
So, you see, I found my second income stream and I am very happy with it. I received the commission notification right on Christmas Eve. How great is that. If I were religous, I would say it is a sign. But I say it's great timing ;)
I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have a great year 2015 and perhaps I can quit my office job completely or at least reduce my time there a little more.
With all this in mind I wish all of you at WA a happy New Year 2015. May all your wishes come true and may all of you have the success you desire.
Carsten
