Remaining Resilient
What do you do when you feel like life is giving you lemons? I'd say, "Let us make lemonade!" You cannot allow a minor mishap or two to destroy your optimism and kill your dreams. When things get you down, remain resilient! Buckle up and take life by the horns because every day isn't going to be a good one, and sometimes you may seem to be on the losing side of things, but as the tide ebbs and flows, so does everything else. I am reminded of the quotes, "The only constant is change," and "What goes up must come down." This is true as you will often see the most successful people also have their bad moments and sometimes wrestle with self-doubt.
Prepare for the worst, and when the worst that could happen happens, you won't be too severely burdened. Another saying I've heard a lot lately is, "Be ready, so you don't have to get ready." I see a lot of merit in this quote, too, as I take it to mean, prepare for the worst outcome, and then you'll be ready for when and if that moment arrives. I'd like to say that I am always aware and ready at the helm whenever disaster strikes, but that's not possible, realistically speaking. You never know when you may be involved in an unfortunate event, but it is good to remain optimistic about life, bounce back from your losses, become better prepared, and then get prepared!
Perhaps through my own experiences, I can help others; I sure hope so. That's why I choose to remain resilient and keep a decently positive attitude and outlook—today has been a funny one with hearing about all sorts of sordid things happening in the background and dealing with the significant loss of my savings through theft. I know that I have a storehouse of skills and talents that will help me replace that money if I don't get a refund, and this is one harsh lesson I'm not soon to forget.
I encourage you all to take safety measures, be prepared, help others become better prepared, and look out for one another where and when you can.

There's plenty of vampires in this realm and an equal amount of wonderful folks.
You're right, we have to be resilient, and know that karma is real and everything eventually equals out.
I believe you're financial institution will refund you, and you'll be ready next time.
So sorry you were victimized, but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!
Hang in there and keep thriving!
Al
Thank goodness for good old-fashioned Karma, I say. I love to see people getting their due diligence, and justice is never overrated in my book. I am taking the steps necessary to acquire a refund and have made a claim with the FTC about the fraudulent activity.
You're right; what doesn't kill me does make for a more potent and stronger Crystal!

When life gives you lemons - pass the tequila!
You are correct if we are not prepared for life then life happens to us. When we are prepared we can influence our own lives in the direction we want them to go.
Alex
