In addition to promoting WA, if I have a Plumbing Business or a Pizza Shop, can I;
Display, Promote, Author a Blog Post promoting my Store on WA?

What are the Do's &a

Sorry to see you go Sam. I felt that you would gain heaps from WA and the community. If you change your mind you can always come back. That's the great thing about being your own boss, choices.

Wishing you all the best
Lily 😊

I sent you a reply Lily. See why I am leaving

Hi CosmicSam, just saw your reply to Carol about your intention to leave.

You have to do what you feel is right for you. I just wish you would give WA more of a chance. Seeing as you really have not been here that long.

Either way I would like to wish you all the best.

Best wishes,
Michael

Michael thank you, see my reply to Aussiemuso

Great question. Thanks for asking before doing.

You can display your URLs for your websites and contact info for social media on your profile. There is a section called "Follow Me On" under your profile picture provided for this info. You can build a website promoting your other business and display the URL on your profile. Here is the link for Kyle's post about the rules about spamming. . Hope this helps.
Carol

Thanks Carol but I won't be continuing with WA, its not for me. Way too restrictive. Best wishes.

Sorry it didn't work out for you, Sam. Hate to see you go without giving it a trial. Good luck.

See my reply to Aussiemuso as why I am leaving

You can display your existing business URL on your profile under your profile picture in the section titled "Follow Me On".

hey hi CosmicSam & welcome to Wealthy Affiliate!

Good questions and all questions are good ones here!

For external urls that contain your websites/social media > you can post under your profile > Follow me on ...

And as for the do's and dont's >> check out Kyle's spam-no-no post ... essential reading ...

All the very best to you for every Success, cheerio ..... :)

and here's the link to Kyle's post:

WOW great info and many thanks.

*** you're most welcome & enjoy the amazing WA journey to Success! .... :) ***

Thank You but I am cancelling my membership in WA.

... any particular reason? ....

yes but do not want to detract so I part in a gentle way. NOT FOR ME.

.... it's ok ... everyone's got choice .... with your free starter, simply log-out and it's fare thee well .... all the best to you for your future! ....

... and should you change your mind, you'd be welcomed back! ...

we'll keep a light 💡 on for ya! ... cheerio-o ... :)

I did check out the DOS/DONTS and in SHOCK & AWE so see my reply to Aussiemuso

... ? ... best if u reply directly ... that's a respectful thing to do vs having people go off your thread or post to go somewhere else .... and it's better for business -- just so you know ... :)

Thank You but I am trying to stop people from reply9ing to that question as it was already answered and I don't want anyone to follow me as I am removing myself from WA - no one has answered that question I asked how to terminate my account. As an Ambassador, can you post something so no one wastes their precious time trying to help me and I do appreciate what they are trying to do and was being respectful to tell the folks reading that question that all is OK and not to keep answering that question (url) as it is old, solved and wish everyone best wishes. WA is not for me so move along I will change the setting so I do not receive any further notifications but wish you have a way to let them know I am not ignoring their helpful tips it is I am not going to see any of these notifications again. .

Besides promoting the WA Referral & Affiliate Program, how can I use WA to make money?
I understand I get features (if I became a Premium Member) such as Web Hosting, u

You have two choices here Sam. In either one you create your own website or websites on the WA hosting platform. You can promote and make Affiliate money from just selling membership to WA which will help others achieve their dreams.

Or you can create a niche market on a new website here to promote products with Affiliate programs. You can create upto 50 websites but if you haven't ever created a website before it would be worth using the training here. This would give you clarity on what you wish to sell and clarity on WA offers.

Lots to learn
Lily 😁

Lily many thanks for your reply to my inquiry, it is a BIG help. BUT seeing I am from another planet (ORION) it may be I do not understand your human English :) so I am asking for a little further explanation as follows (because I feel you do know the answer).

I will certainly promote WA and actually I have access to hundreds to thousands of potential people (not some list I bought) and one of my Businesses I will heavily suggest to members they use WA to build their website presence all across USA/CANADA.

That said; I am sorta confused by WA Do's & Dont's which LIMITS my promoting (mentioning) my Business websites URL (link) in as example a Blog Post I would make on WA etc.

WA would benefit greatly (ME TOO) if I could refer inquiries to my business which in turn is going to promote (strongly suggest) all of my Distributors and Sales Reps join and use WA.

SADLY - after reading the DOS/DONTS I feel like I am in jail in handcuffs and for that reason I am out - meaning I will not be continuing to go Premium nor use WA.

AT THE SAME TIME, I have seen on several profiles and posts by others, they mention their websites url.

My businesses (other than WA) need a hefty CDN and those domains are hosted outside of WA for several reasons (although I might could switch later). I have as example a Radio Station which is streaming 24/7, some shows are live (real-time) and others are On Demand and the same for Videos (not on YouTube).

SO if I cannot be free to display WHO I AM, what my business is, ( etc on WA, I do not see a reason or purpose for remaining as a member on WA. The people I would require to join WA would want to know WHY I am not a WA member. And it is through WA private Chat etc that I would be communicating with my dealers and sales reps. Seems like I would just have to go with FACEBOOK.

If you can figure out why all those restrictions, both me and WA would benefit. I am not in competition with WA and as stated I would bring MANY people to WA who would be regular folks who need WA training to build/maintain their own Business Presence in order to be a Distributor/Dealer for my Radio Stations, Digital Signage and Multimedia Marketing.

Thank you for any feedback and for allowing me to bend your ear. BE WELL.

Sam The Man.

Sam,

You can make money through the affiliate program and also selling your shoes online. If you already have a brick and mortar store, adding an online presence can help you reach more customers. You have all the web hosting in one place.

How to set Preferences when I log in?

Such as receiving email notifications from members

Hi Sam. Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. Have not had time to work on WA today until now. To set email notifications, click on your profile picture. You will see a box with six sections. Click on "Account Settiings". At the bottom of the screen you will see "Email Notification Settings". Underneath that is "Manage Email Notifications." It will ask you if you want to receive emails or not. Click on your choice.
Carol

No Worries Carol, Diane Scorpio answered me earlier with almost the same reply. Better late than never and you have confirmed that is the correct way to handle notifications/email and I've already implemented same.

Thanks.

Hi CosmicSam, glad to see you are not wasting any time getting into the swing of things.

I do believe DianeScorpio has answered your questions.

Best wishes,
Michael

Yepper she did and thanks for writing, best wishes for you ventures also.,

Hi - click on your profile photo and go to account settings. Go to the bottom of the page to change your email notifications.

Many Thanks Diane, that helped and maybe this one: I see only one way to stop getting ALL emails or NONE. What I want to know is how to not receive hundreds of emails per day just informing me someone read my reply etc. I am on the Net most days 7A-11:30P and will have a browser page (TAB) open logged into my WA, so I can see I have notifications, emails etc. The emails I want to save are from WA Management, WA Tech Support or such. and not have my Inbox full with thousands of short one liner emails I will never go back to open.I've just now turned off "receiving email" BUT seems like that means ALL emails including say a very important WA Corporate email which I DO want to receive.

Hi - underneath "manage" email, there is a "notifications" section with an edit button. Here you can select which emails you want to receive.

GREAT - that was very helpful Diane, Note that in order to see that option one must first flag to Receive all emails. AND seeing it the option to edit and select which types of emails is at the very bottom of the page, it was hidden from me on my screen until I hunted for what you told me and VOILA - it was there. VERY MUCH appreciated.
