Be a Hero, Not a Zero!

Say, What Is a Hero, Anyway?

Hero Has Been Defined As: "A Person Who Is Admired or Idealized For Courage, Outstanding Achievements, or Noble Qualities."

Superman...

King Richard, The Lionhearted...

Luke Skywalker...

Abraham Lincoln...

Nelson Mandela...

Mahatma Gandhi...

Martin Luther King, Jr....

Thomas Jefferson...

Jackie Robinson...

Winston Churchill...

Neil Armstrong...

You Get the Idea.

But, Heroes Come In All Shapes, Ages, and Sizes...

This 6-Year-Old Saved His Mum From 7 Armed Robbers in Birmingham, England in 2004!

There Are Many Every Day Heroes.

Dale Beatty Was Selected as a Top 10 Hero of 2013 by CNN. Beatty, Who Lost Both Legs in the Iraq War, Was Given a House by His Home Town, to Thank Him for His Service to His Country.

Inspired by His Community's Generosity, Beatty Went on to Co-Found Purple Heart Homes, Which has Helped Build or Rehab Homes for Dozens of Disabled Veterans.

Danielle Gletow, also Selected as a CNN Hero, Posts the Wishes of Foster Children Online, so the Public Can Help Grant Them. Her Non-Profit Company has Helped More Than 6,500 Kids See Their Wishes Come True Since 2008.

A Hero Is Not Necessarily a Person Who Has No Fear.

A Hero is a Person Who May Be Scared, but Takes Action Anyway.

So, it's OK if You're Frightened.

Just Don't Let it Stop You.

Don't Avoid the Fear...

Void the Fear.

Make it Disappear, by Facing Up to it!

You Can Win, Even Against Tremendous Odds.

Stand Up to Your Challenges!

Don't Let Adversity Overcome You.

Be Courageous.

Be a Super Hero!

Remember This Guy?

His Words of Wisdom:

"Courage. What Makes a King Out of a Slave? Courage.

What Makes the Flag on the Mast to Wave? Courage.

What Makes the Elephant Charge His Tusk, in the Misty Mist or the Dusky Dusk?

What Makes the Muskrat Guard His Musk? Courage.

What Makes the Sphinx the 7th Wonder? Courage.

What Makes the Dawn Come Up Like THUNDER?! Courage.

What Makes the Hottentot So Hot?

What Puts the "Ape" in Ape-ricot?

Whatta They Got That I Ain't Got?"

Dorothy and Friends: "Courage!"

Cowardly Lion: "You Can Say That Again."

To Quote a Portion of the Speech of the Wizard of Oz to the Cowardly Lion:

"...For Meritorious Conduct, Extraordinary Valor, Conspicuous Bravery...I Award You the Triple Cross. You Are Now a Member of the Legion of Courage."

OK Guys: You've Got Your Medal...

You Deserve it!

Now, Go Get 'Em, Super Heroes!

LET ME BE YOUR SUPER HERO

I'm Not Faster Than a Speeding Bullet,

Can't Leap Tall Buildings With a Single Bound,

But, if You're Lookin' For a Love That's True,

Your Super Hero's Been Found.

I'm Not More Powerful Than a Locomotive,

I Can't See Through a Wall,

But, I Can See You're the One For Me,

I've Got No Doubt At All.

Let Me Be Your Super Hero,

You Can Be My Lois Lane,

I'll Use All My Super Powers,

To Try and Ease Your Pain,

We Will Have a Super Love

That Never, Ever Ends,

Let Me Be Your Super Hero,

Won't You Be My Special Friend.

I Don't Live In a Crystal Palace,

I Can't Fly Through the Air,

But, I Could Do a Quick Change in an Old Phone Booth,

If I Just Knew You Cared.

Bullets Don't Bounce Off My Chest,

Kryptonite Don't Faze Me,

To Be Untrue To a Girl Like You,

That's Not How My Mama Raised Me.

Let Me Be Your Super Hero,

You Can Be My Lois Lane,

I'll Use All My Super Powers,

To Try and Ease Your Pain,

We Will Have a Super Love

That Never, Ever Ends,

Let Me Be Your Super Hero,

Won't You Be My Special Friend.

Let Me Be Your Super Hero,

You Can Be My Lois Lane,

I'll Use All My Super Powers,

To Try and Ease Your Pain,

We Will Have a Super Love

That Never, Ever Ends,

Let Me Be Your Super Hero,

Won't You Be My Special Friend.

Let Me Be Your Super Hero,

Won't You Be My Special Friend.
