Wow, I just received a wonderful, unexpected call!

For those of you who don't know, I was injured in November at work. I was out of work for a month and a half and still have to wear a restrictive brace that goes up my forearm and hand.

Like you would expect, after multiple doctor's visits, hours of talking with workman's compensation representatives, and piles of paperwork, I was denied by the workman's comp company.

I called everyday for over a month and could never reach my case manager who was supposed to be the one person to reach for any questions I had. I never could get a hold of her or get a call back.

After so much frustration, I was ready to go to court next tuesday to plead my position. I was very nervous as I have social anxiety and am not super confrontational. My wife and I have prayed every day for God to be with us and help us through this situation.

To my surprise, today I received a call from the courthouse notifying me that my hearing was cancelled due to my claim being accepted. Now I will receive my due pay without further headache. I would have thought being a top 1% employee, I would be treated a little better, but life goes on. It just gives me more motivation to become my own boss one day!
