Today, something incredible happened on my leg day. Five years ago, after a major knee surgery, I wasn't sure if I'd ever be able to push serious weight again. The journey back has been a long road of physical therapy, patience, and unwavering consistency. But this morning, at 59 years old, I finally broke through a major mental and physical barrier. I hit a 775-pound leg press—my first time over 700 lbs. in five years. This isn't just a number; it's a milestone. It’s proof that age, past injuries, and setbacks don’t have to define your fitness journey. For anyone out there who thinks they’re too old, or that an old injury means the end of their peak, I want you to know: your comeback is always possible. The feeling of that weight lifting, of that power returning, was absolutely electrifying. This journey has been about more than just lifting heavy.
